The all encompassing BNP thread - keep all crap in here.

Question Time panellist Bonnie Greer today launched a savage attack on BNP leader Nick Griffin after he appeared alongside her on the BBC's flagship politics show.

The black academic revealed how Mr Griffin had been 'trembling like a leaf' throughout his appearance.

She described sitting next to him as 'probably the weirdest and most creepy experience of my life'

'At one point, I had to restrain myself from slapping him. But it was worth it because he was totally trounced.'

She told the London Evening Standard he had deliberately waited for her before the show in a bid to ingratiate himself.

'When he saw me, he turned and smiled his greasy smile and clumsily half extended a hand,' she said.

'I ignored it and thought to myself: what are you about? Are you forgetting I'm black?

'Are you forgetting you called me a black history fabricator? Are you trying to show me you aren't racist?'

She went on to describe his attempts to make small talk as the crew were preparing for the show.

'He leaned towards me like I was his new best friend and tried to make small talk. "Bonnie, how many times have you been on?" he asked. "Bonnie, do you find it scary?"

'I looked him straight in the eye. "No," I replied sharply, "but you might."'

'I spent the entire night with my back turned to him. At one point, I had to restrain myself from slapping him. But it was worth it because he was totally trounced.

'I had thought we'd face a formidable orator, somebody who knew his facts and had his ducks in a row but the guy was a mess!

Miss Greer, who has been a British citizen for 11 years, insisted her co-panellists - Justice Secretary Jack Straw, shadow minister for community cohesion Sayeda Warsi, and Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Chris Huhne, were formidably prepared.

'I don't know if the cameras picked this up but Griffin was trembling and shaking like a leaf,' she said.

"There was a pivotal moment in the show when Dimbleby pressed him on whether he was still a Holocaust denier and he just looked totally bereft.

'For a couple of seconds there was a deafening silence. It was an amazing moment. You could see the panel thinking, 'He's done for'.

"He had climbed in the ring with some heavyweights and in all honesty, he got slapped around.

What a vile woman. Griffin was polite to her and she was obnoxious and rude, not just on the show but evidently before it as well.

So what if he was nervous? Is that a crime?! He deserves respect for having the balls to get up there and stand up for what he and many of us believe in. In front of an almost entirely hostile, handpicked by the BBC, audience and panel.

I see the BBC have again reported the black man's question to Griffin, where he asked where he should be 'sent back' to, but failed to report Griffin's response that he would be welcome to stay in Britain.

Anti-BNP bias and selective reporting to make the BNP look bad, surely some mistake?!
Maybe because the BBC know as everybody else does that Griffin does in fact want all non-white non-indigenous British Volk to leave Britain, despite his lies on Question Time yesterday

However, Griffin's promise that he is very happy for non-white, non-indigenous Britons to stay here will doubtless be preserved on YouTube (at about 4 minutes):

Oh yeah that reminds me of when Nick mentioned about the lake district guided walks being cancelled because the only people going on them were white. Someone shouts out that it is a made-up fact. It isn't, it is true.

Did she see the show? many of those comments were factual:

- he was shaking
- he couldnt provide answers to difficult questions

Those were really big failings by him; if he is going to lead a party he needs to be able to argue the party's line convincingly not avoid any questions about published policy.

He was totally unprepared for debate

Forgive my naivity but why can't there be a bogus asylum seeker?

Because the term is just "asylum seeker" and it is decided if they should be granted it or not. The very fact that you are seeking asylum makes you an asylum seeker. You could lie about the reasons why you are seeking asylum but it doesn't make you any less of an asylum seeker. It is however pretty much semantics and was a somewhat petty point to try and make against Nick Griffin. Especially as there are so many other more valid points to make.

Leaving aside that that particular story was only reported by the Daily Mail, they do include the comment that the "The plans, drawn up by the Lake District National Park Authority, were attacked on all sides yesterday - even by Muslim and disability groups." and that ther objective was "encouraging national parks to appeal to young people, to ethnic minorities and to people with disabilities. It is saying we ought to focus our activities on these kinds of groups".

I guess that Griffin missed those two pretty salient points? Perhaps He thinks that access to the Lake District should be restricted to older, able-bodied, white, indigenous British (or even just English) Volk?

Incidentally I notice that Griffin never actually confirmed that he believed that the Nazis had murdered six million Jews; I wonder why

What a vile woman.

Not vile, opinionated and curt.

So what if he was nervous?

He would be nervous if he met a real example of the people he would like to see moved out of this country.

My friend Steve, ex professional boxer,

currently member of the parachute regiment, para boxing instructor, para thai boxing team, Iraq and Afghanistan under his belt, currently MMA training in his spare time,

probably all Griffin would see is, afro caribbean descent, Steve is a good example to anyone and a credit to this country. Mr Griffin is not fit to clean Steve's boots.

Yes he did, he said he was wrong in his original belief and one of the things that made him realise was the Nazi radio interceptions did he not? Quite what it has to do with a political party's policies I don't know..

As for the Lake District issue, what are you even getting at? The issue is that the normal service was effectively cancelled because it didn't have enough ethnic minorities taking part. Why should something like this be cancelled because they don't take part? It is focusing on the groups that don't currently take part in the activity and completely neglecting all those that currently do. I imagine that that is his issue regardless of whether the ethnic minorities themselves slate the plan to cancel it.

Should the Eid celebrations that take part in Manchester be cancelled because not enough caucasian British people take part? People wouldn't even dream of suggesting it so why should anything else be different.

I may be wide of the mark so forgive me if I am, but your post just reeks of the kind of bile the media vent at this man.

the quote delimits three factors contributing to the withdrawal of service: "white, middle class and middle aged" only one of those refers to ethnicity.

Secondly the aim is to include a wide social group not an ethnic one, including disabled people, inner city children etc. Daily fail with qualifty reporting once again. At least it knows its audience.

Because even though Jack Straw pardoned him he could still be arrested upon arrival in other European countries for saying anything deemed controversial in regards to the Holocaust.

Must be. The BNP are the only racists in the country you know.

I'm assuming that is sarcasm :p

In all seriousness, I don't think those three will even know what parliament or a political party is.

Because the term is just "asylum seeker" and it is decided if they should be granted it or not. The very fact that you are seeking asylum makes you an asylum seeker.

But if you are seeking asylum just for the benefits and are not actually being persecuted in your native country then you are without a doubt a bogus asylum seeker whether eventually given refuge or not.

For instance many 'asylum seekers' travel through a dozen other safe havens in their pursuit to claim asylum specifically in the UK.
