Borderlands

lvl 20, tons of hours put into this so far and still on desert driven area's... Getting a bit sceptical now as doesn't seem that great in level design.

The game is still great, just hope there are other area's with different landscapes.

edit: also, the game doesn't have the function of removing unwanted quests from your to do list... bit annoying.

I don't think there is, agnes. It's all about the barren landscape hence the name "Borderlands" where there is no law and very little civilization. It is somewhat disappointing though that there aren't any built-up metropolises to explore. It's all a bit lonely wandering around with hardly any other people in the world. Perhaps there will be further sequels which have cities.

Really not feeling this game at all. Not felt this way since Far Cry 2. I went into it and hated it almost from the moment of seeing the main menu screen. My mates keep telling me it's amazing but I'm just seeing a really generic grind fest. Is there actually anything else going on in this game besides grinding and questing? Perhaps that is a silly question but I just didn't expect this from the game. I think I was hoping for a much more immersive FPS game with RPG elements thrown in.

Swap that around.

!!Possible spoilers!!

i love it, im only on level 14 and im currently doing the sledge mission, ran out of ammo half way through lol which was a bit gutting and i couldn't turn back because there were some badass venom(?) skags blocking the way to the ammo vendor :(

i had to fight my way through the rest of the raiders and psycho's with brawl. i got to the hideout in the end though. :p

i got this awesome shotgun that has doubled damage, it also holds 9 shells at a time and doesn't have to be pumped to fire, thank got i have that. its goldy/yellow too.

I got this game yesterday and im absolutely loving it so far! Ive just done the 9 toes guy (not much of a spoiler really as its at the beginning of the game).
But the thing is if you find guns that you dont use do you just sell them or can you store them anywhere? or is there no point? Maybe im thinking about Fallout 3 too much? i.e. fixing weapons with other weapons to get more cash etc!

Will try grind fest to 30 tonight, don't really want to complete this until I have done every single side mission possible :D

Been playing this all weekend with my brother in split-screen.

We're loving it so far having reached level 28. I'm Mordecai and he is Roland. Got some crazy weaponry including a really lucky sniper rifle find early on in the Dahl Headlands (second questing area). I've also got a legendary revolver that regenerates ammo over time, ammo I can then use on an explosive revolver I just got which is ideal for dealing with anything that gets close to me (rakks, skags, midgets lol).

We'll be back on this tonight no doubt for an extended sesh. The storyline is practically non-existent and you don't care about the backstory to the missions which I can see some people struggling with but frankly the amount of loot and the level of fun that can be had with the gunplay/combat more than makes up for it.

I've also bought this on Steam for PC but it's been great on 360 so far bar the odd slow down (mainly when elemental death animations are triggered and in big fights).

Been playing this too, haven't managed to drag my self away from it, even though I have Fifa league to play, Forza 3 and Wolfenstein... Argh!

Level 30 (or 31) soldier. Just unlocked the missiles with my Scorpio too.

Loving it thus far, will be around tonight with a couple of friends to carry on the grinds and finish the quests :)

Gotta try and get into this more I guess. Had a full blown argument with a mate over it lol. They love it and I'm just trashing it. I guess I hate grinding and looting. That was why I only played wow for five mins.

If you don't like it you don't like it :p

I knew exactly what it was going to be like before I'd even played the game. It's just a case of grinding out quest after quest and finding nice guns along the way :)

I'm still enjoying it so far! I've just reached level 20 and finished in all the missions in the first area.

ags thanks for the link to the calculator I think I know which way I want to level up now.

I need more inventory slots, I've been keeping an assault rifle which is awesome for half the game now but I can't use it till level 24. Rescuing the robots gives you more inventory slots, I've only rescued 2 so far.

I feel so spoilt for game choice right now - this, Forza 3, Fifa 10.

loving the game currently lvl20 soldier ,one things bugging the hell outta me in firestone u can jump up onto the weapon shops roof ,theres an arrow on it and if u look where the arrow is pointing theres a claptrap robot how do u get at him?

Ooh I hadn't noticed that, will have a look later :)

hmm, i hate skags. i cant wait to meet the mother of all skags and put a slug in it.

they seem to be getting bigger and badder the further i progress in the game. cant wait for the final skag showdown!
