Never put much time into Forza 2, only played it on one of my flat mates 360s before i had one, but Forza 3 at present is a good driving game. Its missing a few features that i thought would be in the game, but its a good fun driving game. The handling/performance doesnt always feel quite right comparing it with the same car i have driven on the road, maybe down to the game or maybe me not playing it on a wheel, but its still got a great driving model which is fun. The damage to me is a let down, and i can see why PD said its hard to damage correctly. It does seem like its just a replace part x with damage part x over the whole area, e.g. if i hit the right side of my bumper a few times why does the left side damage at the same rate? At least it feels that way to me, unsure if its just the few cars i have driven. Graphics are not as good as i thought they would be, after looking at the car models shown by turn 10 i expect them to be on par with GT5Ps race models but they are a few steps back, still look great though and keeping a nice steady 60FPS is ideal for driving games and this runs very smooth. Customisation of car parts is excellent, as is the decal side this is Forza 3 strong point over GT5 as we know so far. Overall its probably the best "sim" driving game ive played this gen as a total package, dont feel let down at all, ok its not got some of the cars i like and some of the tracks aint great but the racing and customisation side are great fun. I wouldnt say its worth purchasing a 360 to play it, but if youre a fan of Gran Turismo and have a 360 then its a good if different alternative. The one downer, and its no fault of the game, is as ive been playing it it just makes me want GT5 more.
