Another "is my car a write off thread" !

I swear, this is a woman tactic. Make things sound MUCH worse than they actually are. Then when you actually get down to it, its nothing like as bad as initially said, so your anger kinda gets diffused :p

Good news though, and you will (should) get brownie points for your approach :D

Agree, I wouldn't even bother with new panels. Bit of sand paper, primer and halfords rattle can paint and your done. Better to leave her with some reminder of her misdeeds than to fix it. She'll just think she can do it again if you do.

No, don't think it is or somebodies failed to tell my wife. She came back from work a few weeks ago saying that somebody had hit her car whilst it was parked, little scuff on the passenger wheel arch according to her. Went to have a look to find the front wing caved in!

Brownie being the operative/doing word me thinks, in cases like this normal sex just won't suffice.

We can't possibly tell if it will be a write-off, as it's purely a concept related to insurance. However that can be repaired for less than the value of the car.
