Between 500 and 700 notes, have seen the x10 which I've always seen as pretty good units.

Any other suggestions for this price range?

TIA

my G10 packed up after 6 weeks, am getting a replacement on Tuesday :(

Kept cutting out after 5 mins turned on with no sources.

Upto that point i was very pleased with the TV, Blu Ray etc amazing.

There's a lot of discussion on Avforums about its Standard Def picture quality, i find it far better than my old Panasonic TX60 32 LCD, but it might be worth having a read.

The media streaming function on the G15/V10 isn't a bad extra, doesn't stream HD content though and file formats are limited (although luckily everything I have plays ok).

Depends on the price difference really and if you'll use the extra features, plus I think the chassis is a little different (thinner?) on the G15.

The V10 gives you even more over the G series but again puts the price up more, it's never ending!

pretty sure the g10/15 are the same bar the viera cast function.

the v10 is lovely but the only differnce i can see is it has DCC .

They have different cases/chassis, check the pictures out on the Panasonic site. From the specs looks liek the G15 is a little thinner than the g10.

G10 also has 3 HDMI sockets whilst the others have 4

V10 also has a THX certified calibration mode which is quite handy as you can't change some settings on these models :(

Mine's on THX mode all the time :)

Forces overscan off mind you, doesn't bother me as I like to see the whole picture but some people don't like it.

Colours look good in the mode and I like the fact I know it'd be damn hard to get the settings any better as I hate fiddling with colours etc wondering if I've got it setup right :)

i couldnt find it  where in the menu should i be looking ?

the only model i could find with THX is the Z series.

It's just one of the modes (you have a V series right?) in the main viewing modes options.

So you have cinema, game etc, one of them will be called THX.

I dont personally but we have them in the shop, i found it in the end tho, i had a play but the only difference i could see was it made the picture darker and removed som the pixelation on sd images.

i personaly prefer normal mode :)

It shouldn't make the picture darker, it sets the gamma to 2.2 (as you can't set the gamma on uk models, grrr) iirc and sets the colours to a THX approved calibration.

It doesn't touch the brightness settings, that's what the brightness setting it used for :)

Cheers , i dont tend to look that far into the details, as most of our customers would leave baffelled if we told them every thing :D
