What are the consequences...

Kennysevenfold good luck trying to get Kwikfit to fit those tyres. There policy is you have to buy tyres from them. Believe me I have been down that road when I did not know much about cars and used kwikfit.

Just go onto blackcircles website and pretend to buy tyres (fully fitted option). You will be asked to select the fitting station closest to you before you pay for the goods. punch in your postcode and voila.

Mind not to buy the tyres since you have already bought some.

Really? thing is theres a qwik fit 2 secs down the road from me, they said if i brought the car and tyres they would do it for £12:50 each.

On that site my Toyo Proxes are £74 each, which will be more for just the tryes than i would be getting them from camskill and paying qwik fit to replace them.

yeah but i am asking you to use the fitting service to find a tyre fitter near you. Some places charge £7.50. What i am trying to say is you may be able to find a cheaper fitter.

Ah right i see, i am willing to pay £12:50 for the convenience tbh, my tyres are almost smooth so i dont want to travel further than necessary just in case i get pulled over.

cheaper tbh, not sure where about you are but if you're near hillington my mate could get you them fitted for £5 a corner, balanced.

I'll keep that in mind. ;)

Might be needing a new rear tyre in a few weeks.

Edit: Kenny, how could you possibly let your tyres get in such a state?

Just bought the car 2 weeks ago, first car, didnt think to check
So got a wee test thing on an auction site for £3 odd and reads 2.1mm on the back 2 and 1.4mm on the front 2. :(

If your that skint then good brand part worns can be had bloody cheap. Just check the sidewalls to make sure they're are no bulges or similar. And check ebay. As a temporary solution you may find you can pick up some steelies with legal tyres for £20 often even less.
