Forza 3 - Time Trial Championship

Does anyone find themselves leaning over and turning the joypad the same way as the turn when they are going round a tight bend?

No? Nor me.

I feel like buying this game just for this thread. I love things like this!

My Xbox hasnt been used for months and is gathering dust :(

Here's my entry. Pad, Manual auto clutch all assists off. Had about 5 laps at it. Manual gears really do help. Will be using them in single player from now on!

Get it and use it. My XBox was the same until one day I decided to see what new games there were. I wish I had never let it sit in the corner unused for so long.

Come race with us. Hopefully you're crap as well so I can share the honours of last place occasionally.

Seriously good lap there! I think that has got to be near the limit of what that car can do on this track. Just as I thought I had closed up on you with a low 1:03.3xx. :D

Thanks, maybe im getting the hang of this wheel it seems.
Im not as fast with a pad, for me a few of those tenths could likely be down to the Turbo S wheel.

I so want to get one of those, but I can't justify the expense on something I can't tell if I can jive with beforehand, at the mo :(

Well you wont know until you buy it
Although I reckon you could sell at near enough cost price because of the waiting/delivery times if it turned out you wernt so keen with it.

I feel so detached using a pad now on a racing game.

This is a good close TT :)

1:03.189. Pad, no assists, manual.

Thought I had the lead, but I just saw your time Mr Latte. Have to have another go tomorrow ;)

I strongly suspect I'd love it, and that it'd make (prepare for Stating The Obvious 101) steering so much more precise than tapping the stick repeatedly when you don't want full lock. I guess it'd be the same as trying to use a joypad for an FPS after becoming used to mouse+keyboard.

I did try one wheel some years ago, but it had a huge deadzone and I couldn't live with it. What's that like on the fanatec?

Their is no real deadzone on this wheel with it being belt driven. As a wheel it is also more accurate and better than a G25, well to me on consoles it is.
The only whinge anyone could have with this wheel and FM3 is that really the strength of the FFB and rumble would be much more satisfying if it was stronger still.

Right, I best find some time for this one, forgot to post my last time officially.

I'm going to add some of your GTs tonight so I keep track of the leaderboard from my console.

If you see 'RoryMK' trying to add you, it's me :)
