Anyone here absolutlely bum the hell out of the ps3?

i was going to buy a xbox 360 but i decide against it when you factor in free wireless adaptor, 60gb hd, free psn and there alway's improving with firmware updates. it just keep getting better and better. i also enjoy playing fps now since i got a splitfish controller. coming from a pc it makes life a lot easy and feels more natural.

Hmm, mine is used 75% as a media player with games the other 25%. I am waiting to see the reviews of FFXIII and will only get it on PS3 if there is some big catastrophe on 360. The DualShock 3 is a piece of tat that hurts my hands after an hour or so with most games and yet with Resistance 2 I can play all day and not even feel the controller. Weird.
 
Not used mine properly since last year I think :( I have uncharted 1 and 2 on my to-play pile but there is a crap load of stuff I want to play on the PC and 360 first :o

Think part of the issue is that I seem to much prefer collecting Achievements than Trophies...really don't know why though!
 
I agree with Kreeeeee, I'm not blown away by either piece of kit if I'm honest. The games are great (cross platform), the grahpics obviously have taken a huge step forward, but both consoles have their frailties.

The only thing that has impressed me with the new gen consoles, is the Xbox controller which is nigh on perfect.
 
I've regularly (well periodically if we are being accurate) stated on here that I would not spend more than 150(+games and peripherals) on my next console in this generation, unless it could do everything on the tin and suck my nuts. Well it seems like the PS3 can now do bumming so I guess I should head off down to the shops ;)


In all seriousness the only PS3 game I have had any interest in is little big planet, maybe uncharted.

I personally have given up playing anything apart from the very few exclusives that come out on the PS3.

The xbox just delivers so much more in terms of a true gaming experience. The PS3 is a Blu Ray player first and a games console second. The games run better on the xbox and always have that crisp and sharpness on edges that the PS3 will never match.

Every multiplat i compare is always better on the xbox. Remember the big hoohaa about the blurry edges on the PS3 version of GTA? It's pretty much like that on any PS3 multiplat. It may run and "look" the same but the xbox has always had sharper and crisper edges and that for me counts for a lot.

I do love the exclusives that come out for the PS3 though, uncharted 2 was fantastic.
 
Haven't used my PS3 in 4 months or so, didn't even bother taking it to Prague with me.

Then again, I haven't used my Xbox360 in over a year :o
 
Dunno about "bumming" but I use mine daily or every other day.

When I had a launch a 360 it got "bummed" a lot.

Then PS3 came out and I owned both. 360 got "bummed" more.

As a movie fan the 360 was crap as it had no Blu-Ray and it's streaming/interface/noise was a hindrance so started to "bum" the PS3 a bit more.

Then the 360 broke and a few more decent exclusives for the PS3 came out and I "bummed" the PS3 much more than the 360.

Since last year the PS3 started to get more/"better" exclusives and a lot of the 360 games I had "bummed" were appearing on PC so sold the 360 (after Gears 2 and Fable 2 got a hardcore "bumming").

Now I only have the PS3 so I have no choice but to "bum" it. Don't have time to "bum" 2 consoles so won't be buying another console to "bum".

So basically, did a lot of "bumming" the last few years.

I really get confused when people say the xbox controller is uncomfortable...

EDIT - Lol rp2000! Please come back so we can all play Forza 3, where has the scene gone.... Forza 2 scene was the best OcUK gaming experience ever!
 
Mine comes out for a blinding exclusive game once in a while like MGS4 or Uncharted 2. Other than that it happily plays Blurays and watches the 360 get all of the multiplayer love.

And I agree Logsi. The 360 controller is ridiculously well made. Since first holding it, it just feels great. Granted the first one was massive, but I didnt even mind them..

If you inserted both controllers up your "bum" I think the PS3 one would feel "better". We need someone with both controllers to "bum" them, as a test.

this is what i dont understand, how come hong kong got a ps3 on launch for £315, when my pre-order from a well known site was £550, coupled with 3 crap games and a crap blu ray. in fact no retailer was selling it without bundling it, forcing people who wanted one into buying all the crap they bundled with it

sony should try and sell them exclusively within their sony centres, maybe then these other stores might take note
