*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

Anyone attending a midnight launch?

My local games store is having the first one I can remember it ever having. It has opened early a few times before for the likes of San Andreas but I think this is it's first midnight launch and it's one of the huge chains.

Not overly excited about the game but may turn up to see what it's like. :)

My local ones opened a lot, Halo 3, GTA IV, San Andreas, it's not a huge town either.
 
queing up at midnight with a load of 'computer enthusiasts' is never fun. did it for gta sa. which is probably the last game i ever bought on release day or preorder !
 
Veteran on this is much easier then the first one, certainly no real trouble areas - a few bits are fairly tough, but all in all a breeze!

Pre-ordered for, I think £42 myself, cba with running around doing trade ins or a monday night supermarket launch on the off chance there is one locally, easier to have it plop on the doormat tomorrow :)

One of my mates said the same, that its much easier than 4 or 2. No spam grenades or respawning that made the other ones harder.

Nice to see you back posting in here McD, maybe one day you will play a MP game again ;)

Looks a fair bit more detailed, the weapons especially, and specular effects are much improved.

I agree completely, I found MW and WAW to be a fair bit of a challenge on Hardened, but MW2 I progressed through without much fuss, I would deffo reccomend anyone playing it to play on Hardened, as with Regular I could see you powering through the main storyline in no time.

Just started on Veteran and done the first 3 levels no problem. I can imagine a couple of the later levels being a bit tough however.


Also had a quick look at some of the Spec-Ops missions and I am loving all the different challenges, I also like how many of the Spec-Ops levels aren't ones from the main campaign!

Did you see my last post? It's more than likely going to be confirmed in the press tomorrow. I've seen another retailer advertising 29.99 already too.

My local supermarket is having 400 copies, so I'll swing by around 11 with a mate and pick it up :)
 
Made it !!!

Just got Level 55 Prestige Level 1

Really wanted to make level 55 before i started on MW2 !!

Had COD 4 since release, on 360, PC and now PS3, never made it to level 55. My personal goal to make level 55 lol Headquarters in the way for XP !!

Roll on Tuesday now.
