because the official release day isnt here yet? simple as that.
I do wish people would stop throwing toys out the pram over video games, a game is a game, you can literally do whatever you like and much like MANY films, certain things may be designed to shock you to enhance the experience.
It was the same when Manhunt was released and all the retailers taking it off shelves because some nutcase killed someone and blamed a game, honestly.
If it bothers you that much, dont pay for it, simple.
I agree that things often get blown out of proportion with games, just look at Mass Effect or GTA.
The interesting thing with this level though is listening to the comments that are coming out from actual gamers. I've been following Charlie Brooker on Twitter, who completed it yesterday, he has noted numerous times how crass it is, doesn't seem to make sense and that it's "set the game industry back ten years".
Bare in mind that's coming from a hardened media critic, who is an avid gamer.
Will be interesting to see how it is for myself this coming week, but when you have actual gamers saying its bad, it makes you wonder what Infinity Ward were thinking.

yeah but if people where going to play pirate/illegeal copies then microsoft would jus ban them anyways. suppose it is a good way to see who is legit and who isn't.
And how will IW know which are pirated if MS can't even detect it?

Well that is a bit rubbish, gives all those who've had the game early an unfair advantage, they'll already have tons unlocked by the time release day comes around.
I'm sure MS can, however they need to be certain that person is a filthy pirate before banning their console whereas resetting stats isn't exactly law-suit worthy even if they get it wrong.
There's just more of a risk when acting upon it for MS.
Apparently they dont so as long as it will fit through your post box it will be OK ...hope so anyway as mine is also coming via Parcel Force today
Likewise, I was going to cry tomorrow, due to lack of funds, but for that price, I can just about scrape it into my budget this month - yeehaa!
CAn't believe some of you guys are getting upset that peoples scores won't be reset. It's a few days at best. What sor tof major "advantage" can they gain?

And what about those getting it for xmas? Does it mean they will never be able to be competitive because others got it over a month before them?

agreed, it does seem easier than COD4, though maybe I;m just better now? Completed on veteran in about 7 hours, all in all, an awesome game though!
The single player is definitely worth it.
