Infinity Ward reply to backlash

well, to be fair, everyone was moaning about this before they have even tried the alternative and see what it is really like

Does Robert Bowling really believe the drivel he's spouting?

'Non lagging games' and 'smoother gameplay'?

Im just amazed the little turd can talk about people getting used to a server browser with a straight face. Who is this little arse anyway? He looks like he's about 13 and just crawled out from under some rock with joypad in hand.

dont you think thats a tad agressive? his name is Robert Bowling by the way, it clearly says that in the text under the video.

Time will tell if this huuuuge gamble pays off or not.

Nope, he was so quick to bash pc piracy of cod4 yet he's said nothing about the console mob pirating it. He's meant to be a community manager, tell me, has anyone actually seen any pc footage of this? last i checked its all 360 footage. I take it community manager must mean his favourite platform, that obviously being 360.

serious question: how much profit do you reckon cod4 made on the pc and 360 platforms respectively, and how much potential revenue do you think was lost due to piracy on both?

I know it's not nice, but I really hope it doesn't

you hope it doesnt actually work to our advantage?

No idea, ive yet to see solid numbers, ive seen pc estimates sold at numbers varying from 3 to 5 million. Right now mw2 hasnt been pirated on pc (probably available but not playable so useless), and 360 version has had approx over 200,000 downloads, all playable all full versions no retail copy required for multi.

So I'm confused. Do we have dedicated servers on MW2 or not? Because he seems to be implying we can either play on dedis or through the 'matchmaking' service.

pc gaming makes up 17% of sales in 2007

code 4, excluding digital downloads, sold 383,000 pc copies in two months. on the 360, it sold 3.03 million. pretty much 8 to 1.

of course they are going to favour consoles. It's a bitter truth for pc games, and legal gamers everywhere, but thats the truth.

Well without digital dloads those numbers are a bit pointless really, i mean how many copies of orange box sold through steam for instance? Cod4 was also on steam.
