*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

i noticed i was getting shouted at for friendly fire ,evan when i wasnt shooting.Atleast i think it was me that was getting shouted at,anyone else notice this? this was on the single player game

Well worth the money, I've spent nearly double what I spent on MW2 and been bored to death.

Some of the single player missions are fantastic, especially the ones that you don't expect to be in their and seem a bit odly placed but it all fits together and I'm really loving it!

I can't say which is better, both are equally as good on the first play though (not completed yet).

Got to love some of the achievment names "Royale with Cheese", that had me laughing for a bit :D.

Just been to Morrisons to pick up three copies for people around the office. Almost had a fight on my hands as after I bought the shelf copies the busy body in customer service who was guarding the actual copies stated it was only two per customer.

Got out of there with all three though :o

ive changed my mind, tis bloody brilliant

GAME in Canary Wharf is still shifting these at a rapid rate for £45, must be making some serious profit on this, I assume they have the same buying power as the supermarkets so unit cost will be very similar.

the supermartkets selling it cheapest are making losses. its a stupid tactic that hardly even works

I've heard reports that GAME staff were buying copies from supermarkets and re-selling them at higher rates.

Yes, but supermarkets will sell them cheaper than they buy them as a loss leader. Game shops can't do this. Activision are still getting their £5 extra per copy, no matter how much you pay, and game shops and supermarkets will be paying the same on each copy they buy I should think (or near as damn it).

I suppose it was a woman? Did you punch her in the ovaries and run for it?

My Dad has a Makro card, so may try and pop into the one near Belfast to see if they have any.

EDIT: Just checked the stock online. Says its '0', are they likely to be up to date and accurate with this?

I imagine they'll know better than anyone if it works or not. Certainly in Sainsbury's case, it's dramatically heightened their profile in the entertainment market, which is exactly what they wanted to achieve. The offer might be short-term, but the impact won't be.

me and 4 other mates went to ASDA in west bridgeford.

What a mahoosive que. got there at about 11:15, we stuck with in and at 12:30 we all got our copies.

Gotta say the que went down very fast.

Anyone else go West bridgeford?

well, went to my local Asda at 10am this morning, no queue but not many copies left, also got 10% discount as my missus works for them so got my copy for £28.80 which is alright, however, had i known Makro had it for £20, i ould have gone there instead lol.

I've just had 5 minutes on it and so far i'm impressed, i was a bit worried coming from PC FPS with mouse and keyboard, but i really like the 'snap to target' system it uses (you need to be close to the target for it to snap to it though - so it's not a lazy way of doing it).

I'm looking forward to playing this tonight, it's the first game that has got me off Forza - Borderlands and GTA TBOGT have both failed in that respect.

I managed to pick up 1x360 and 1xPS3 versions from Morrisons this morning. My pre-ordered Hardened Edition arrived this morning too, which I'm going to send back as I cannot justify nearly £40 extra for a download of COD etc.

My take on the game so far is it is a improvement on COD4 but not vast i would say , the enviroments and characters seem slightly better but for me the weapons look a lot better more detailed this is the PS3 version would be interested what people think of the 360 version , playing through on veteran and it is a good challenge still and just got to the level where you start under water :) , only had 2 multiplayer matches but will be giving it a crack later today .

It's not a live stock checker but they were updating it periodically so it's likely to be accurate.

Yea it said it had 1 PS3 copy left at 12pm, but now it says 0. Dang.

Also, checking on Sainsburys online it says out of stock, but obviously im guessing that doesn't mean out of stock at all of their stores yea?
