True. :(

Mine consisted of mashed potato (win), roasted peppers and carrots (win), and an el cheapo chicken kiev (not so win).

Did OP say he cooked that steak, I'd send it back tbh, needs to be at keast one colour throughout (preferably cremated though) really fancy some ribeye now :(

why waitrose before butcher? Also i would just go to tesco!

waitrose do decent meat, dry aged AA. plus it is on the way home and open later than the butcher.

plus just because meat is from a butcher it does not always automatically mean its better. in fact i would wager than waitrose meat is better than most high street butchers.

Garlic on a steak, you nonce!

Got some uber butchers around here, even drive passed the farms they get the meat from, lush.

Utter ********. You must have some crappy butchers where you live :p

Fresh meat from a decent butcher shop is far superior to supermarket tat. Our local one will supply any cut any of meat you ask them for too, so if you want ribeye, you will get ribeye.

I asked them if they did chicken or turkey sausages a little while ago, because we had someone staying with us who didn't eat pork, and they said that they didn't but come back in a couple of hours. I did and they had made up a load for me. Try doing that in your supermarket. They were lovely too. Mmmmmm :D
