Thought I would bite the bullet and see if anyone here uses or can recommend a decent eye care product?

Over the last few years I have noticed my eyes are looking more tired, with a pretty much permanent black shadow and puffiness. I am sure this is largely related to not getting enough sleep, looking at a monitor 9+ hours a day, having kids and playing games! I have tried getting to bed earlier and getting regular gym and swimming exercise but I still have the same tired eyes and its starting to get me down:(

I am sure there are must be others on this forum who suffer from the same thing and I am hoping there are a few that may know how to sort it!

I have been using some Loreal £7 stuff for a while but it doesn't seem to have much of an effect and after doing a quick search on the net it seems like there are a TON of male eye care products out there, all claiming to reduce puffiness and black shadows / wrinkles etc. They seem to range from £10 to £100+ so I thought some recommendations would be useful, before shelling out.

Cheers

I doubt there's a magic cure but more sleep will prolly help. Staying up til 4am playing games catches up with all of us, eventually :P

Get a tan, too.

The problem with you not noticing s partly because you problably look in a mirror every day.

Trying a before and after shot, or shots every 5 or so weeks, and compare the results.

I use Loreal man expert eye cream, seems to do the job and my eyes look less dark circly and saggy.

I also use the exfoleator, anti wrinkle cream and daily 'refresh' stuff with caffiene.

i heard that dermatologica is better but i can get lorealmenexpert in most shops so i go for that.

I would steer clear of Loreal Men Expert, personally. It was quite damaging to the skin on my face, burning and redness etc.

I've never used any but Hugo Boss skincare ranges seem to be highly recommended. Not cheap though!

When did men get so... feminine? I thought my "eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and sleep well" would sound a bit hippy/girly but I needn't have worried after seeing some of the other skin care routines and product suggestions.

The one interesting tit-bit I can add is that I found my skin got much better when I STOPPED using moisturizer - I used to use one (whatever my mother bought me for Xmas the previous year usually) after shaving and whenever my skin felt dry but stopped when it ran out a few months ago. Since I've stopped using anything shaving causes no soreness and my skin is always fine - somewhere in the middle, not too greasy and not too dry. Drinking loads of water probably helps too.

Agreed.

The Men Expert range is a bit harsh and I don't rate it, tried most of it too.

I use Boss eye balm and it's awesome, but ~£30 for 25ml... which is a joke.

A cheaper and nearly as effective alternative is Nivia Sensitive range, white box, sub £5 and great for your whole face including eye area. Use it daily.

And what's all this crap about men not being able to prune and groom themselves, you do realise we don't live in caves anymore and that most women actually prefer a well turned out man with smooth skin?

Makes me laugh all this alpha talk, I bet those sprouting such carp are the weak and feable. I'm completely comfortable in my (metro)sexuality and openly admit using hair straightners, aftershave balm, eye cream, hand cream... you name it. Quite frankly every single women I've dated LIKES me to do all of those things... and more.

Should I listen to 'Frank' down the pub who watchs copious amounts of porn, grating himself on his dry self and hasn't seen the warm undercarriage of a delicate female in years because he's 'alfa', yeah right.

Tip: When buying Nivea, go for the ladies stuff - it's practically unisex but like most skincare ranges, it's much cheaper than the mens stuff.
