Waw!! What an emotional morning yesterday!!

I took my daughter to nursery for the very first time! She is 3 years old and me and her are so close it broke her heart to leave me and same with me. I cried in the car after i left her!! She was very upset at me leaving her.

I am a house husband in the day and work after 5pm.

It felt as though i was deserting her!!! I was churned up inside and felt sick.

Took her to nursery again this morning and she was quite a bit better thank goodness. Fingers crossed she will have a good morning as she is only there for 2.5 hrs.

Its certainly a heart-wrenching moment mate. Went through it 7 years ago with my only son, pride and nervousness were my emotions at the time.
But i a few days or so she'll be excited to tell you all about her great days at nursery! :D

man up! FFS!

my kid loved nursery on the second day he was zooming off inside the door as soon as the nursery gate was open.

did you get a full time placement or just half days?

full time is really nice but hard to get at a lot of nurserys these days it was the norm when i was a kid :S

does the nursery do find out fridays aswell where the parent of each child is expected to come in and spend an hour making something with the child?

i used to hate those non of the parents ever talked to each other at all

It's very hard letting them go It does not get any easier each time. I've had to do it twice now(3 girls)and I can tell you the last one to go into school is going to be the hardest. :(

lol there only going nusery not afghanistan to fight a war.

your going to see your kid again everyday after school MAN UP WOMAN!

Man up, you/she'll get used to it soon enough :p

My little girl has been going since she was a baby however, so we didn't really have a "transition" period :)

You sound like a great dad. Forget all the comments from the emotionally retarded guys in here. Even Jack Bauer cries.

Thanks guys. I know some people can't wait to get rid of their kids into school but i am not one of those, thank goodness. I have looked after my daughter since she was 5 months old and have built up a fantastic bond with her. She is my right arm!

It is very very hard to just 'Man Up' as some you hard skinned chaps have said. Especially when i have been with her every single day since she was a baby!!

I don't mind being emotional about it either. I love my girl more than life itself and letting her go off on her own is very hard. I know it has to be done but there is no harm in feeling sad and upset. Real men do cry!!

As in Gay gle ? :D

Took my daughter to nursery Eons ago, She cried, I worried. I rushed back to pick her up & made sure I was early only to see her through the window having a Great time, Then she cried because she didn't want to leave.
My advice just Beat them all the time & give them summit to cry for then at least you'll end up with a tough kid who can terrorise the country & end up in a holiday camp paid for by the state where he can play xbox all day, At least this way your kid will end up Brilliant at games by the time he is adult & can Finally give you a Good game & it won't cost you a Penny. :D

As a former Nursery Nurse I know what you mean :)

a lot of parents used to say to me that it's not the nicest feeling leaving their child (Esp when they're upset about being left) a lot of the time in order to settle the little one down we would literally just say to the parents just go in order to get them settled.

It gets easier dude. :)
