got my surround headphones for MW2 coming!

well i had £50 to spend. they were the "best" for £50. all reviews were good. just couple of people somewhere on the internet said they were crap. but then again these are geeks with about 10 pairs of headsets for some reason.

Meaning they'll know better..

Joe, read the above from Bledd and just let it sink in. People with more experience and who have heard a large variety of headphones/headsets have tried to put right your error. You should not be annoyed with us, just yourself for purchasing some cheapy headset.

Check if it comes with 5.1 ears, as as far as I can guess you still have x2 ears :p :p :p

ill see when they come. if not they can go back to over clockers and you can give me the £20 so i can get a decent pair. hows that

No need to be a cocky pratt.
How about instead of me giving you money, you spend 3 quid less and get a pair of DR150s (found online for £47). Alternatively, you could pick up a pair of DR100s for £25. Both of which will sound better than your 5.1

Like people have said, buy a stereo headset coupled with a decent soundcard next time.

Although the Zalman 5.1 ones are actually pretty decent if you play CSS, not for much else though.

Aww bless, the poor lad started the thread all excited about his delivery and you lot come and totally destroy his purchase and leave him slightly weaping. I hope you are proud and "Would your Mum's be proud?"

Im another one of those who fell for the whole 'surround sound in a headphone thing' and bought Speedlinks 5.1's ages ago. Replaced them with Goldring DR100 just over a year ago and the difference is a lot more than i expected, fantastic quality, much better than the 5.1's.

A little on the hostile side? they are just trying to give you good advice. A lot of people on here have had loads of headphones over the years, and when they say Sennheiser's HD series and Goldrings DR are the best 'bang for buck quality', guess what? its because they are ;)

I think that would all depend on if he keeps the 5.1 set or goes with something that actually sounds good.

Anyone else thought they accidentally clicked through to twitter blog reading the OP's first and last post?

I got some useful info about headphones from the rest of you so glad the other posts were actually made...

send 'em back, for £50 you can get goldring dr150's, which will sound a million times better... Yes, you read that right, a MILLION! :p

I have had multiple pairs of the Medusa 5.1's and currently have a pair of Sennheiser. Yes the quality is obviously higher with the Sennheiser's but for gaming (CSS) the medusa are still better. The directional sound is far better, be it tinny and awful quality.

Also i find the Medusa's tend to break, i went through 3 pairs problems ranging from broken mic to speakers breaking. So they do tend to be cheaply made these days.
