I'm guessing not as there's no obvious difference i've yet seen flagged in a review but is there ANY performance difference between the X18-M and X25-M?

Need to get a SSD bought asap and everywhere seems out of stock of the X25-M but here and certain competitors who've all slapped an extra £30 on the price tag as it's a hard to source part at the moment.

I'm seeing the X18-M in stock in various places though (down as low as £140 inc postage for the 80GB in fact).

The X18-M is identical in performance to the G1 X25-M, no difference at all. But it isn't necessarily as good a bargain as it first seems because you need to buy a SATA/MicroSATA adapter to make it work and your PSU must have native SATA power plugs that are wired for 3.3v operation.

The extra hassle is why they're so cheap.

Hmmm, looking around these seem to be about £6? That gets me an 80GB X18-M that's as easy to wire up as an X25-M for about £146?

Anyone see any flaws in my plan here? The X18-m's do seem to be G1 but 34nm process (and thus getting firmware updates same as the G2 X25-M's).

If anyones got a decent amount of info comparing them i'd SERIOUSLY appreciate it.

My velociraptors are going to a new home so I need to get a replacement boot drive sorted asap.

Meh, seems the X18-M's I can find are 50nm so screw that idea. Guess I wait for replacement stock (most places quoting 23/11)

I have seen the X18 80GB for £3.08 and the 160GB for £6.18 ! Same site has loads of stuff at odd prices (some overpriced!). Shame it's 99.9% likely a dodgy company :(
Anyone else seen it? (or ordered from there, lol).

Had a look - has scam written all over it (love the funky spelling and outrageous T&Cs) - the fact that they only accept money order/ cheque gives it away ;)

Shame though - great prices on those drives!

Hmmm, I wonder if we're on the same page,
"We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, Delta and PayPal. We cannot accept Solo, Electron or foreign registered credit cards."
