Anyone see that Richard Attenboro programme a while back showing some chimps were canibalistic & filmed them hunting in packs & ripping apart other chimps from different groups, absolutely gruesome & I ended up turning it off :(
 
No man could beat an angry chimpanzee. Their Weight/Strength ratio is ludicrous. Their upper body strength is 5 times that of a person. The one in this article is 200lb, around 50lb more than the average Chimp. That's a seriously dangerous machine. Even their nuts are bigger than yours, at 4 ounces compared to the human average of 1.5 ounces.

It does, thank you. I didn't realise they were so strong. The whole subject makes me feel sick anyway. In the wild I can accept if an unlucky human wanders into the wrong area but pets suddenly turning on their owners is frightening.
 
if this had happened to the owner i would have less sympathy. Horrific injuries, i agree with the comments about letting her die. The fact it went for the face and hands kind of shows that the chimp went on the attack rather than going mental.
I remember being in the zoo when i was very young and the keepers opening a big metal sliding door, looked very heavy, the chimps managed to open and close it with 1 hand and make it slam, crazy strength

You've got to be bananas to keep a chimp like that....nothing about it sounds apealing to me.
 
Shocking story :(

So if a 90kg Chimp can do that then what could a 230kg Gorilla do to you? This is why no wild animals should be kept as pets.

Indeed, not even Arine or muhammed ali would fair well against that. Maybe fend it off enough to escape if they're quick but that's would be a best case scenario. To be honest you'd have no chance with anything less than a gun
