*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

One option they should have given was to join a game in progress or not. There's nothing worse than being lone or in a small group and being dropped into a game 140-0. Over the last two days soulja and I have been whacked into those types of games more often than not. :(

They dont count as wins or losses at least

Same here. Probably because a slot opens up when someone get's fed up losing and leaves.

I also finished it on Veteran last night. Took me about 8 hours in total and all I can say is that it was simply awesome from start to finish. I won't give anything away but some of the missions in the second half of the game are truly had me thinking 'wow' and grinning like a small child.

I honestly think the Modern Warfare games are better than the Half-Life series in how they go about set-pieces and story in general. :)

Now that it is all dusted with I can go about hammering MP now as I'll go back to to getting the Intel things at a later date. Think I got one in my entire playthrough and that one was an accident as I was trying to pick a new weapon up :D
How did you find Veteran compared to previous Call Of Duties if you had done them? Similar difficulty or did it seem easier?

Those kills don't add to your streak.

Not at all or just from drops?

I got an AC130 from a drop last night and it definitely did not add to my streak.
I would be surprised if a chopper you got as part of your streak didn't add on as it always did do in the past.
However I would prefer if they never did.

Personally I think they have the balance right I don't find myself being killed by airborne attacks anywhere near as often as I used to.

I got the stinger as secondary, and its a beast for taking down air vehicles!

I've done CoD2 and CoD4 on Veteran and half of CoD5 ('nade spamming on some of the Jap levels made me cry). I would say it is neither harder nor easier but simply a case of you don't find yourself stuck in one place for ages due to respawning AI or 'nade spamming. Also when you get in to it and realise how effective Flashbangs and Smoke grenades are you can progess through certain stages rather fluidly.

I can see why some might be saying it is easeier but it is still a case of if you don't take precaution you are going to get dropped pretty quickly.

I got stuck on two or three points in the 2nd half of the game but I found it was just a case of fine tuning my approach and taking the right route so as to place the advantage with me rather than the AI.

Anyone considering playing on Hardened straight off I would recommend going straight to Veteran as its not really that much harder and it is satisfying when you do finish the game. :)

Its far easier, this is probably not as hard as hardened on cod2/4 and waw. Infact it's pretty much a walkthrough with a few reloads. I get killed most often in the sections where I'm supposed to follow someone.

The 2nd level in the snow I was stood out in the open with 4 or 5 enemy to my right. I just stood and locked onto each one in turn. That would be impossible in the others. The team are far more effective as well. I've had then clear buildings for me without having to shoot except in an emergency.

completed it yesterday on veteran, was a lot easier than i expected tbh

finding multiplayer pretty annoying atm, still fun though

My RROD this morning... :(

It was working perfectly fine lastnight i was playing MW2...turned it off like normal then this morning when i turn the console on i get 3 redflashings lights automaticly!

Power supply is fine cause its green and i just cant understand the randomness of the flashing red lights....

Anyway its still under its 3 year warrenty so its getting fixed but im going to demand a new console instead of just a fix as this is the 2nd time its happened.

The annoying thing is that i have got to wait a month or so with no MW2!!! AGGHHHHHH

Demand all you like, you won't get a fully new machine. The repairs are as good as in most cases anyway.

Not sure in regards to those saying that this is a lot easier than CoD2/4. I found both of them to be just as 'easy' if you like. The only sticking point was the constant stream of Grenades and Respawning AI without that the game it's self was just as challenging.

I think that some of the reason why this could be considered easier ignoring the 2 obvious reason is down to level design. I found there was a lot more in game to hide behind other previous games. So I was able to hide long enought to regain health or move from point to point.

:)

i was just playing it there, and some guy got a supply crate, but when he called it in a massive cargo plaine came and dropped about 5 box's,first time ive seen that perk

Woop, just received my xbox back from Germany and they sent me a nice new elite!! Glad really as its a joke being that I only got it two months ago!!
