Modern Warfare 2 PS3 MP Arranging Thread !

Gah the first game was lag-city.

Mrs was moaning because it was taking so long to join a game plus it said party leader left so I backed out and couldn't get in again, hence no second game :rolleyes:

Will be back online properly on the weekend pm

Hope to be in a few of the games over the weekend or so, but definitely next week when I've got a new mic ;)

btw.....after this patch (groan) anyone else having trouble with the free for all playlist?

I've tried 3 times and it doesn't find a match and then hard-locks :/

Not sure if it's only this playlist.

Looks like 9 player playlists = messed up matchmaking and/or silly amounts of lag?

Sweet spot seemed to be 6 players, not sure which playlists support this (apart from domination and TDM).

Edit: Might be back on, after Question Time, can't be bothered to host a party though, so if you see me online after 2335, and want to play domination or another non TDM/Dm mode send me a party invite.

the "session is no longer valid" bug is getting on my *)£@

Tried so many times tonight to join you guys, but every time it failed. The one time i did get in, i was in for 2 minute before somebody left and it had to find a new host. Then it threw me out and couldnt get back in.

Forums are full of it too, so seems its not my problem at least.

Everyone else managed to join, just by restarting and accepting a new invite. A few of the times you were trying to join we started the game already, so not sure if that made it worse as a few times we needed you to fill our last slot, but someone joined before you etc :(

possibly luck of the draw then.

They need to be more specific with the error message, explaining that the game is full rather than just a generic error for every ocassion.
 
I found joining the game direct from the PSN XMB (by accepting invite) the most reliable.

If you're already ingame or waiting on a menu it freaks out.

Some people say that just logging in /out of PSn should fix it too.

Either way, a patch to fix all these private party issues is due tomorrow, (as to whether it comes or fixes things, I don;t know :) ). They had a patch 1.03 today that seemed to do nothing.

I can't understand why they keep releasing patches without a changelog or a site explaining what it does.

ya i have usb keyboard also ill add some ppl tonight... im up to lke 9.22% accuracy, but my ratio is like 0.67.

thing is though it all depends what u play and who u play against. vs merc. TDM or normal TDM or even ground war opponents seem easy and i was getting more than 1 k per d...

however on HQ Pro i found that when u come up against a clan and in general the players seem to be more highly skilled... cutting down my avg..
 
@henryJSB Neither. All issues have been patched. Only thing were waiting on now is Sony to enable Presence server for #MW2 and we're golden

@tregregins Apparently so. Sony sent us a message saying only their Japanese team can turn on the Presence server. Odd response, I know.

Next time, it might be worth everyone turning off "HQ mode" on the PS3 headset and lowering the sensitivity to 1.

I had a lot of splashback from other mics and found I had to mute my mic a lot as it was picking up EVERYTHING.

There is a way to join people! click on Invite, choose the person you want to join ( I think he has to be in a game or lobby and there has to be at least 1 spot empty) and click "Join Session"

I'll check at home again! I am on tonight! First person to invite me I will game with them :P

That's the method we're using but it is bugged ;)

There will be a few lobbys with us in tonight due to experiencing lag last night with 7-8 people :(
Hopefully the friends invite works without you have to signing in out and back in , there is another patch due in 1.04 and that will hopefully be with us today sometime :)

Didnt manage to get on after 11pm last night due to me being shattered but ive got the weekend to have a good session on it .
