Win 7 and gtx295

Why your GPU-Z only says 191.00 driver

Mine says 191.07

Ive been swapping and changing drivers about the last few hours, currently on set 185, odds.

Gonna try installing vista on another drive and see what happens, the card won;t fit into my brothers 3d aurora case. :p

Hehe :D.

I'm guessing you've tried the basics btw, reseated and checked power connectors? What PSU you using (I'd assume this wasn't the problem since you said you had a 3870x2 but worth checking none the less :))? Not sure what happens with Multi-GPU cards if they're not given enough power tbh.

Have you checked in device manager to make sure that there are no unknown or problem devices? its possible the drivers have only installed for one of the 2 devices.

Checked all that yeah, psu is a coolermaster 850 so more than enough juice going to it.

No problem devices in device manager whatsoever. =/

Im on a different install of win 7 from another hard drive so gonna try this, then vista.

Have you tried reseating the GPU? its not impossible some of the lanes for the second (or first) card aren't connected properly.

Sadly is looking like one of the cores is duff :(

Assuming theres enough power and its not some weird compatibility issue which should be easy to test for if you have another PC to try it in.

Hmm, just been looking at the design for the Dual PCB 295, seems the PCBs are connected by 2 rather flimsy looking connectors, it's probably worth checking to see whether they're connected properly. As if they arn't it looks like it could cause this problem, with only the PCB that connects to the PCI-E socket that works.

Edit - Just looked at the picture properly, the DVI outputs are on the card that doesn't connect to the PCI-E socket, so probably not this :(
