Is anyone else finding it impossible to get rid of the Strict nat type on their O2 router? I've forwarded every port mentioned and then some :S
NB: Please backup your router settings before you try the above tweaks. You should also remove all MW2 port forwarding.In Windows
Go to Start, Run and type cmd
Then type telnet 192.168.1.254 and press Enter
Enter your username and password (by default username = Administrator with a capital A and password can be found here: http://beusergroup.co.uk/technotes/index.php/Rp)
Then type the following exactly as shown below and press Enter after typing the 0
:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=0
Then type
:saveall to save the config changes
Type exit to quit
Go to the BeBox web interface and restart the router
Again when you have telnetted to the router (see above), type the following
:ids config state disabled -> Press Enter
:connection appconfig application=CONE(UDP) timeout=0 -> Press Enter
:saveall -> Press Enter
Go to the BeBox web interface and restart the router
Me and a few friends have been playing tonight as a party and we have been getting a lot of lag tonight too.I've had nothing but lag tonight. I think it is more due to my connection, but not having a dedicated server didn't help things.
I love the game, and IWNet works, but to think what it could have been![]()
This is AWESOME!!! Very lucky, but awesome!
Apparently he thought he had a nade equipped but it turned out to be a knife, it worked out for him though![]()
Was stuck on this for ages. I asked in the be forums and a kind mod posted this information (Proves yet again why bethere.co.uk is superior to any other ISP in the UK):
LMFAO
OMG that's just awesome.
Didn't helpi really don't understand what's up with this router, online port checkers are saying no ports are open to incoming connections either!
The intrusion detection is disabled, the firewall is disabled, the appropriate ports are forwarded yet its still acting like none of the above have been done?!![]()
Ok, save your router config, reboot to factory defaults. telnet into your router and follow those commands. Then log back into your router, assume you computer a a staic IP using gaming mode and it should work.
Otherwise, it's something to do with your antivirus / win firewall.
Yup tried all that, it seems like its a pretty common issue where people are just ending up buying a new router because of how crap the supplied one is!
It's defo not my computer btw, tried it on several and i don't actually use a firewall/anti virus! Thanks though![]()
