dont suppose anyones running this with an 8800gt? would i be lucky to run it at medium?

Only if you're playing it at 1900x1200 - I still have an 8800GT, and it eats COD4 fine with 4x AA, and handles Crysis alright so I cant see it having any problems with MW:2 - its basically the same game engine.

Nothing wrong with my eyes, good game but average graphics at best, I was thinking it was simalar to the new wolfenstein game visually but it's not quite that bad.

Entitled to your opinion etc, but I just really can't believe anyone would describe the graphics as average.

Yeah we do, everything on extra here and it still looks low resolution.

I think the thing that makes the engine looks good is lighting; the levels where there's intense lighting and man made shapes look pretty good given the age of the code. The levels set in the countryside look jaggy and flat.

I'm running everything on max, 1920x1200 and the engine needs a bit of an upgrade IMO.

ah good to hear it , im running 1650 x 1050 and runs rather well on cod 4 i must admit ! happily getting a constant 80 fps ! should be fine ! just wait til its a little cheaper in the shops :)

Needs an overhaul imo, nothing seems to have changed since COD4.

I guess theres no point with current consoles though.

I was completely gonna boycott this but I heard news of a patch with dedi servers soon so I will buy soon just wish infinity ward would sort it out also where the **** is sli support lol

Ok so I bought this, have played some of the single player, now want to try the multiplayer. Go to launch in steam and get "this game is currently unavailable. Please try it again another time" steam error.

Anyone else having this problem??

Enjoying the MP so far, had been playing Team Deathmatch but tried an 8 player Free-For-All, best map was the map with the house on the hill with a greenhouse. Spent a lot of time sneaking around, really needed a silencer but it was quite a tense game

I got this from Steam on Wednesday night and I have to say, IWNET is really nowhere near as bad as the trolls are making out. I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. I've had absolutely no lag, no dropped games, I've had hosts drop out but you're back playing again in about 10 seconds maximum.

The MP side of things is absolutely fantastic, the only thing I can criticise is that because of IWNET and the lack of admining dedi servers, you get the odd server that is noobtube central but for the most part, everythings absolutely fine.

Dedicated servers are still a lot more practical and I still don't agree with what IW/Activision have done but to be honest - this works perfectly, happy customer.

Some of the trolling on this thread is unbelievable, people who clearly haven't even played it at all and are just making **** up as they go along. Wise up, seriously.

I've played about 6 hours of MP so far and the only problems I've had were at my end (housemate hogging the internetz playing the same game on his 360). Other than that it has been thoroughly lag free, although the hit detection is a little bit off here and there.

Suffice to say, if I didn't know there were no dedis I'd assume I was playing on one.
