Cutting your own hair.....

If I still had enough I'd be the same, i was and to be frank I'm pretty gutted, somebody needs to solve male pattern baldness dammit!!! :)

Barbers every few months, costs about £7.

Prefer to have a 'professional' job, and I don't have it cut regularly, so its hardly expensive.

there is nothing professional about a 7 quid cut, especially if only done every few months!

I concur, if one wants a shaved head then do it yourself, the clippers will pay for themselves in a month.

However i am a typical southern fairy and i like my ghd's and going to hair stylists so i don't look like a football hooligan.

i usually cut my own but will goto the barbers if i'm feeling lazy. but my local cheap one (£5.50) has recently closed down. :( cheapest elsewhere is around 9 quid.

how often can you get hair cut with a tinny sat next to you, no need to sit in a stinking room for 15 minutes and the money saved feels good.

say £6 a hair cut for example, if you did it once a month its going to cost ya £70 a year or so

Like others, realised the cost of paying £5-£7 once a month or more often to wait for 30 mins + for a rushed bodge job, was rather silly when you can get it done for free (minus cost of clippers) by your girlfriend, and not have to wait.

Also chances are, she will do a much better job :).

Get yourself some £20 - £30 clippers, once youve had your hair shaved a few times youve saved yourself money :)

I use some wahl balding clippers to cut my hair.
I like being in control, never been comfortable with others touching my head.

I sometimes do mine but then I go to the hairdressers once in a while to tidy it up properly.

I had a BIG accident the first time I tried to do it myself, I cut a huge chunk of hair out of the back of my head, it looked awful :(

Been doing it myself for years... quick no 2 all over with the clippers.

Quicker, less hassle, and cheaper than going to get it cut.

I cut my own hair quite a lot. Sometimes I need my friend to tidy some bits up at the back but it generally works ok.
I also tidy up my boyfriend's hair for him after he's went at it with clippers as there's always missed bits!

Only tramps have shaved heads

Does a #1 count? If so, I shall try and change my genetics to grow more hair. I'm sorry to hear that my follically challenged scalp associates me with that of lesser fortunate living and that it offends you so.

I've been shaving my head for years just because I can't really grow my hair suitably to have a decent head of hair - besides I look better with a my hair as it is. I for one cannot stand effeminate hair on men.

Been shaving it for years. Number one or two all over. Go to the barbers once every 2months for a tidy up. Saves me a fortune.
