Catalyst 9.12 RC2 BETA 8.68 (Win XP x86/x64)

What I can't quite fathom is why the XP ones were out before the WinV/7 ones. Surely to go WinV/7 take precedence because of their ability to use ALL of the card's featureset.

XP should die, in hell.

Yeah but these aren't a scheduled release I don't think. They're leaked. Someone's idea of a joke as they know a lot of the enthusiasts will be on 7.

Steam Hardware Survey for October still says 50% market share. Still quite a way off.

XP - 50.01%
Vista x86 - 23.24%
Vista x64 - 10.99%
7 x64 - 9.54%
7 x86 - 4.79%.

more like
Windows 5.1 = 50.01%
Windows 6.x x86= 32.70%
Windows 6.x x64= 15.78%

due to the fact that vista drivers work in 7 and the other way around

What's some what surprising is the difference between 64 and 32 bit win 7 users, it's actually double!
That's simply because early adoption has been driven by enthusiasts and the fact that OEMs like Dell have finally decided that 64bit operating systems are ready for the mainstream. Unfortunately the predominance of 32bit netbooks is going to slow down migration.

blame intel for going backwars with netbooks, if it was amd we would have had 64
-bit in netbooks long ago, heck amd's netbooksish cpus are all 64-bit complaint, that cant be said for intel's atom cpu that ARE NOT 64-bit complaint at all

gimme 64-bit vista/7 driver gimme gimme gimme gimme :P
kinda ironic that the XP driver leaked for a card that is built for 7 and has DX11 lol

But why do you need 64 bit on a netbook?

Everyone says 4gb memory but i did tests on 32 and 64 and it made no difference in gaming for me only having the 3.25 you get with 32 over 4gig with 64.
