Stuff you know that others wouldn't know because of your job.

Civil servants spend most of their day emailing each other with gossip and waste stupid amounts of public money on trivial things. Although I suspect this is also common knowledge :D

I know....wait for it, ...... how to count....., wait for it,...........all the way,.... wait for it,............. too SWIFTY FIVE

(but it's a secret)

I know that the London Underground have just signed with Rentokil Initial for multi service.

As a rentokil initial supervisor i can tell you that the company is massively flawed, over-budget, cutting corners and can't get stock orders right to save their own lives.

As someone that deals with most of those things I can tell you you're talking **** :)

Yup, all things that I deal with on a daily basis, along with Government Policy and Legislation surrounding CCTV.

My comment still stands, £85,000 for just a CCTV system on a pub/carvery is a rip off.

It's a joke. I work for a CCTV company and we do much larger CCTV installs then that for much less. We are doing an airport at the moment and it's not even close to that figure. Maybe someone is telling him porky pies?

That if you return anything electrical at Tesco its not tested and you'll never be held accountable.

For instance, buy new xbox, swop it with your RROD'd 3 year old release xbox and take back for a refund. You could probably even swap the hard drives.

That's not what the CRM for my retail contract told me in great detail for over an hour over coffee and if it is why have my stock orders been massively wrong for the last 3 weeks straight? I have enough bog rolls to last a year now and they keep sending more!

Tesco will accept money off vouchers from any other supermarket as long as they're "conditional spend" vouchers.

(Conditional spend vouchers = £5 off when you spend £50 on groceries. NOT product specific vouchers like 10p off Kelloggs Corn Flakes.)

The person at the till may look at you funny, but tell them to scan the voucher regardless. 90% of the time it will work, and the other 10%, tell them to get their line manager who will (hopefully) know the drill.

What contract do you work on?

The deliveries will be Bunzl's fault not RI.
