Near miss

The A19 is a pussycat ;) The only bit it gets a bit savage is around the tunnel.

I drove down to 'boro last night and the rain was a bit heavy, other than that i've never had any problem with the A19

+1 for the tunnel stretch. Frequently used the road when I was living in South Shields for a few months in 2007/08, some mad drivers around these parts.

its a massivly busy road there and your verly lucky to be ok, its always nutsly busy aswell i hat ethe turnoff i have to take to get h ome because everyone leaves it to the last second to get into the lane to turn off the a19 and the sliproad is about a mile long and has 2 carrigeways its bloody crazy

Cheers for the comments guys :)

Whenever I think about it I try to think if there was anything else I could have done. The only thing I came up with was to turn on my interior light but I'm not sure that would have made any difference.

And your hazard lights - most cars these days have a third pansy little indicator on the side of the car, even if the front and back ones aren't visible side-on. Probably wouldn't have helped though tbh.
