Swine Flu Immunisation

A friend of mine was diagonsed with swine flu over the phone just by asking few question:S.

what if its not really swine flu and its just the usual flu and he takes tami flu medication? anything happen?

My son had all the symptoms and was given tamiflu, was ok two days later. Then this weekend it happened again and said he couldn't have tamiflu again. Turns out it was a viral infection both times.

I had the normal flu vaccination about a month ago, I just had the swine flu jab two days ago and my arm is still a bit numb.

But, apart from that feel fine.

No, tamiflu is just powerful flu medication. Swine flu or normal flu.

....anyway after 6 pages of pros and cons of said immunisation i bottled it. called them the other day said i couldnt make it.....

close thread pls :)

Had my swine flu jab last night. Didn't get much sleep because my arm hurts, though at least it hasn't swollen up yet like it did for the pneumonia one. Joints starting to ache a bit too :(

Holy thread ressurection.....As the Swine Flu malarkey annoyed me so much a few months back....

So the Gov has decided to suspend the Swine Flu helpline and the website today (whilst probably quietly wondering how they managed to make such a disaster and panic about the whole thing - along with the WHO) - This coupled with the fact it has so far only killed around 14,000 people worldwide - most with underlying conditions (compared to 36,000 dead by normal Flu in the USA alone)

And funnily enough - there are now a number of people questioning the WHO's reasons for starting their Pandemic announcment last year. Along with the fact that Glaxo had supposidly patented the Swine flu vaccine just months before the pandemic was declared.....and now today announcing bumper profits of £8.7Billion.

Was it really worth giving a vaccine that had been so badly tested to so many people (especially children) just for so, so many to have serious reactions to it.

Wow.... And who'd have thunk it... As expected a storm in a tea cup. :p

In fact I was just wondering where all the thousands of dead were from this "pandemic" just recently...

divosuk, don't confuse death toll with the question of if it was a pandemic or not.

It was seriously contagious, more so than the normal flu by many many times, the issue is, it just wasn't ever actually a severe flu, it was mostly a pretty damn weak as flu that killed at a rate less than that of seasonal flu.

The scare, without need, was that it would somehow mutate into a killer and much more severe version of itself, which added to its already very high contagiousness, would have made for a disaster, however virus's simply don't mutate to become hundreds of times more deadly in the massive massive massive majority of cases, the chances of it happening were probably 0.0000001% .

Who merely said it was a pandemic, that it was highly contagious, they were correct. It was mostly the media, added to a moronic government that scared themselves into what might be the worst case scenario.
