Then I shall clarify.

I actually associate the gay sex scene in that computer game with "Yuk - don't want to see that kind of thing personally, would't want my kids seeing it either".

I suspect that a lot of gay people might have similar views on heterosexual sex.

I just don't see the need for it tbh and I suspect it's just the games companies pandering to a small minority of gamers.

<SHRUGS> I could well be totally wrong.

People generally play games in their bedrooms they dont flaunt their gameplaying in public.

Gayers in a game? Big whoop. Didn't hear you complaining about the lesbians in Mass Effect...

In the end, who cares? It's 18 rated, if you don't want your kids to see it, you've only got yourself to blame for giving them the game in the first place. By the time they're old enough to play the game, they should have been taught about the birds and the bees (and the bees and the bees).

thats the thing though, its like saying imagine thers a game where it has a scene where a black guy and a white girl kiss. Then someone who thinks mix marriages are wrong/yuk and doesn't want to see it or his kids seeing it and says the makers of the game shouldn't of put it in. Now (hopefully) you would see that as a crazy response. Tis a part of life a gay sex scene is ok anywhere where stright sex is ok (well unless its a stright sex porno.... then i can understand your disappointment :D )

OK So I've just youtubed the video to see what you are talking about and frankly I'm surprised that such content is present in a game that is rated 12!

I wonder how many parents out there know that their 12 year old might be watching lesbian-themed scenes in the game they got them last Christmas...

Because the crux of your argument was that gay sex scenes were in games not intended for children?

Now a 12-rated game is shown to have gay sex scenes in too - which kind of shoots that argument down in flames doesn't it?

I know I haven't yet (60hrs in), managed to bed a party member either of the same or opposite gender, so its not like its slapping you in the face. I have to admit though, I'm not trying spectacularly hard, in fact, I'm not hugely interested in the interactions between my party members at all at present, aside from the hilarious quips & verbal sparring going on.

Now I haven't seen Brookeback Mountain, because the content doesn't really appeal to me. I have no desire to see a couple of blokes making out, on film or game medium. I do however respect bioware for making it an OPTION for those who do want to see it.

Having just watched the video; the two lines of dialogue are:

"I want to discuss something personal"

"Care to join me in my tent"

The latter dialogue option was isn't open to me, because I haven't buttered Zehvran up enough. I have to give him a bunch of gifts, spend ages talking to him, and not do anything in the game which he dislikes in order to get my relationship with the guy close enough to ask these options. Is an impressionable and homophobic individual likely to do all this? There are plenty of clues, which I don't really want to share, in case of spoilers, in the dialogue I have had with him, that he might be 'sexually liberated'. I know I'd be far more interested in bedding the women in my party, were I such impressionable and homophobic individual.

It's an 18/Mature-rated game, and they put in a male gay scene. Jesus christ, if it was a lesbian scene you'd all be rubbing your little nerdy hands with glee before promptly fapping into the box of tissues you keep by your PC for such an occasion.

I still can't work out whether this post was a joke or if you are actually so monumentally insecure about your own sexuality. Either way I have rarely ever seen a more pathetic post.

By the age of 12 most children will have had sex education and will almost certainly be aware that there are same sex couples in the world. Oh noes, they're aware of the fact that people are different!

You realise it's people like you insisting that different lifestyles should be treated as taboo cause part of the problem with social equality for those in minority groups?

I suggest you take a look a few posts back where I actually de-cried a lesbian scene in another game. Suggesting I would masterbate over such a thing is verging on the slanderous - and says a lot about the type of person you are.
