i dont mean to rain on your parade 5770 guys, but they are crap, there classed as the low end dx11 gpus. and your all wondering why your only getting 30fps with them.
In that case your 5770 does suck..![]()
Indeed, I have a HD5870 also and that has no problems with Shift, however the 5770 really struggles for some reason.
Even my GTX280 has no issues at all with Shift, and thats using a Q9550 at stock.
be on standby for descent performance in shift with your 5770! ati are working along with EA and there is a patch comming out for this game very soon which dramatically increases performance with the new new ati cards and shift =] not that i have a problem myself. but for anyone that does![]()
Good to hear, the games pretty much unplayable on my HD5770, even at only 1280*720 it can't handle the settings maxed, not even including AF/AA.
It's that bad.![]()
So long as you don't play NFS Shift which runs like crap on my 5770, having to stick most settings down to medium to get playable framerates, it's pathetic.
one of the many reasons why i dont buy ATI cards![]()
DX9 to DX11 is HUGE in quality, the water effects in DX11 version is sooo worth it, its much like running AA at 16x and so on even when that killz the performace compared to quality, 5770 is slower than 4890, so why didnt you get a 5850 or 5870?Yeah im finding exactly the same problem in shift. When i had my 4890, i was averaging 60fps, on everything max and 1680*1028 res. With one 5770 i was getting around 30fps.. totally unplayable![]()
Now ive got two and getting 65fps.. still not much more performance than the 4890Roll on that update someone mentioned
Why don't you wait until the proper demo before deciding how well it runs? Running on a beta demo means nothing.
