New addition to the household!

How big is the prison cell you keep him in?

These should be left out in the wild.

Pfft.. Its a 4ft viv. Hes got lots of things to climb on and do. Substrate to burrow in and its not like I won't look after him!

Thats a Beautiful looking Blue Tongued Skink you have their Street:cool:! Whats the little guys main diet consist of then?

Thanks! :)

I feed him 50% meat, 40% veg, 10% fruit. Things like cat food, meal worms, greens, butternut squash, grapes, raspberries. He does seem to prefer the meat though and I can't blame him!

He looks great! Was very tempted to get a beardie but decided on a skink in the end..

Nice Bluie! Just be aware that cat/dog food isn't very healthy for them mate. I'd keep it to a rare treat at best. Lots of insects, some meat/pinkies etc and the veggie stuff will be fine. Enjoy. :D

long as you get him out sure he will make a ace pet i wentfor a beardie due to they normally only live for 10years , had mine since jan he doin great now and hopefully stopped growin :)

Got a crestie also which is 19months which should live to about 15years all going well

Thats for the advice.. I've read a bit about cat food and how fatty it is. He does seem quite fat so I'm going to try and get him onto other meats like insects.

Hes already quite docile.. He'll happily sit on my hand, and I had him sat on my lap earlier while I was watching something! :)

Get yourself 100 to 150 adult & sub adult Blaptica Dubia cockroaches. Far, far better than crickets. They don't smell, breed very easily, can't climb sheer surfaces, don't all suddenly die and will save you money in the long run if you successfully breed them. They're more nutritious than crickets too.

There's a guy named blatta on RFUK who sells them at a good price (not sure whether he has any stock left, but worth dropping him an email).
