Tactical Knife + Magnum

I actually made it to their spawn while they were still standing there and knifed 7 people in a row once. xD Got the harrier from it.

It's actually bad on free for all though because everyone just camps and its useless against campers.
 
I don't blame people for using it or Infinity ward for adding it. Its a viable tactic that I don't think they could have predicted the effect. Hopefully they will react to the stats they have and make slight alterations. Unlike last time when they made out nothing was wrong and didn't tweak it until a new version came out.

if they just adjusted the range on the rangers and the 1887s to make them more like the short range weapon they are it would be fine.

Equally, rifles need to be more cumbersome and less the be all and end all they are at the minute

No point having an SMG when the assault rifles are better in just about every scenario

Same goes with the knife range, they really need to sort commando out, or do away with it altogether.

I've naded them before but my current set up I dont have HE nades.
 
Now im starting to get large kill streaks i`m finding playing on US hosts really frustrating. So many times I get killed by someone I can't see. The worst was when I ran in an knifed someone, then warped backed 5 meters, headshot and dead. Killcam shows me running up and stopping :(

Why oh why cant they have a euro zone.......

Was there ever a euro zone for MW1?? (not played it)

Haha, I had my HB sensor on earlier and saw a dot right infront of me, i was wondering where the hell he was, then I died and I couldn't see anyone. When I watched the killcam he was right in front of me clear as day, I have no idea how that happened but wtf.

Talking of killcams, how does the killcam actually work, is it replaying what your client saw, what the server saw or what the killer saw? It's a little confusing as sometimes I'll be shooting someone square in the face hearing the sounds of bullets hitting the enemy but when I watch the killcam the enemy is taking no damage whatsoever.

Also sometimes I'll be shooting an enemy coming towards me but when I watch the killcam no shots come from my gun.

Finally... I'll be running around and die hearing one gun shot then when I watch the replay I've been shot like 10 times!

Oh and I'm sick of aiming at people's heads only to die because someone shot vaguely near one of my feet.
 
well i finally caved and got MW2 (most i've ever spent on a game :eek:) and can't help but feel a little let down, i wasn't expecting a lot from IW, i figured they'd have to work hard to top CoD4 which wouldn't have been bad in and of itself as i quite liked CoD4 and would have happily stumped up another £40 or so for a new storyline, more maps and new weapons and attachments.

unfortunately the story mode is lacking, I actually lost the will to complete it, there's no real thought gone in to it unlike CoD4 which had it all (but was woefully short, although longer than MW2 i'm told!) high octane gunfights, explosions and tense, heart pumping stealth. MW2's storyline just feels a little sterile in comparison, there's no character building, no emotion, no feeling. however i understand that multiplayer is where it's at these days, i myself usually rush through the story mode of what ever game i'm playing just so i can get to the multiplayer as quickly as possible.

Even in multiplayer MW2 is lacking some of the flair and draw of it's predecessor, it just feels like i'm wading through treacle, i hate all the flashy 'stuff' that prances across the screen and to my horror i had to play for 4 hours before i could begin to play on my favourite mode (HCTDM) which improved the game for me somewhat. The sounds in the game are worthless as well, i've been playing on maps where i can hear what sounds like a firefight just around the corner (literally a second or so away) only to round the corner or see on the UAV that there is no one there at all (ally or enemy!) and the combat is actually 3 or 4 'streets' over, that and i often feel like i'm using a laser gun :(.

another mind numbingly retarded choice they made was to remove party chat for 90% (ok about 70%) of the gametypes, i don't know about anyone else but when i play a game i like to do so with a few mates and just chat crap and have a laugh and a good game, what IW chose to do is massively counter productive in my opinion (and i'm sure in other people's as well).

and then they had to add all that senseless crap that you can customise because everyone knows thousands of pointless little pictures that people can customise is exactly what makes a game great/sarcasm

oh and the maps seem very poorly thought out, their design ethic for a battlefield seems to be a medium sized circle or square which has a few buildings and some strategically placed obstacles but ultimately is as symmetrical as possible so that the entire multiplayer experience is running in a circle chasing the other team who are also running in a circle in the same direction.

don't get me wrong, the game is a good game, but it just seems like they put a bunch of really good ingredients in a cup without blending them together and then wonder why it doesn't flow.

I might try that "witch" setup sometime.Only problem will be getting enough kills with the guns to unlock the tactical knife!I do enjoy running around with marathon+commando pro then jumping from silly heights.Commando pro is especially useful in favela.
 
Fact is now if you are not stupid prestige you are going to get owned, every game I joined I am the only one not in the 40-60s

Matchmaking needs implementing
 
This game has degenerated to:

-Commando/Marathon/Lightwight/Tac-knife never fire gun class
-People who run around with the javelin and fire it into the ground, killing themselves and their enemy (Didn't even know you could fire that thing without locking on, but obviously you can :p)
-1887 Akimbo
-Riot Shield + Throwing Knife

Rank isnt representative of skill though, I came late to the party but my k/d ratio has always hovered around 2. My friend has played the same time as me but its about 10 places higher in the rankings because he went for all the challenges and unlocks etc. Perhaps being a little bias, but I know who I would rather have on my team if it was between him and myself.

They should employ the battlefield system of 'skill level' that gets updated everyday. Basically you get a level based on kills, points and how useful you are in game and there is only 1 person who is number 1.

I have to say the javelin thing is annoying and also the people who sprint so fast and just run around knifing people, even a full burst of the m16 doesnt slow them down if it doesnt kill.

The dual shotguns are also silly, I was killed from quite a distance (across the bridge on the overpass map where flag A is on domination) which I thought was a bit silly.

Not seen anyone use the riot shield and throwing knives though?

I did spend a lot of time today being chased by a witch, never seen it before tonight, not to this level anyways, specially in FFA, made up for it with Twin .44's to his face a few times :)

Luckily not had a Javelin'er in the game as of yet that I've seen/experienced.
