*** Official Dirt 2 (PC) Thread*** DX 11

Benchmark has appeared, you have to do the first race first for some reason (i assume), as after i done the very first race, i could then scroll the options further down past the cloth setting to the benchmark, and it runs about the same as the demo for me, so impressed.

Also, is it right that for Dx11, you can only go up to High on the Post Processing (so like the demo), as ive read some people can get Ultra for that.

Little Crossfire review here (Fud), but it also shows how Dx11 differs from Dx9. :)

disable xfire in CCC and see if fps drops, or have an app that monitors GPU usage per card and see if card 2 gets used at all

Just tried a free race rally in Croatia, runs and looks bloody superb, was well funny when i crashed into one of those little concrete blocks on the side of the road and the co pilot screamed in pain :D

Game is awesome! All the little extras like liveries, dashboard toys and online tournaments really flesh it out. I was playing grid the other day and now it just feels naked in comparison.

The config files in the dirt 2 directory have the following <ref category="post" option="medium" dx_11_option="high" /> so yeah looks like medium is max for people not running a DX11 card and high is the max for those that are.

Runs and plays great for me with G25.

1920x1200 everything on High, some Ultra with Q9550, 4GB, GTX 260 Maxcore, 195.62 driver

any settings that need to be tweaked to get g25 spot on, i know it was a mare in grid to get right and was just easier to use the 360 pad

just my g25 is sitting in the corner feeling left out, seems wasteful to keep it sitting there hehe

with my DFP, I just plugged it in, tweaked FF strength and went. Works nearly perfuctly (need to tweak deadzones a bit) so I expect a G25 to work just as well

Non at all, settings are bang on, even better than on my PS3.

great game but it is very yankie doodleish...colin would roll over in his grave:mad:

But it's the only way Codemasters can "crack America" as it were.

Same thing happened to TOCA Touring cars, if morphed into GRID and became a game aimed at the larger US market.

Either way, the presentation of both games has to be admired, even if it's not to our more reserved British taste.

STupid question, where are the options to change graphics settings? I have still to find that menu *sigh*
