I don't think any of you public sector workers understand how messed up this country is financially, and morally is another story.
Oh jesus go and drown you thick plank.
I don't think any of you public sector workers understand how messed up this country is financially, and morally is another story.
because they make up new rules that need new job roles, rather than letting the frontline staff like doctors nurses police etc... do there jobs, rather than spend most of their time filling in papers bullied by empowered small minded incompetence jobworths.

They do when they are accountable for many things, and perhaps would like to work again in the future.
Fox - Very little people on here will agree with you.
No you dont the bond markets are knife edge away of a worldwide collapse. look how many sovereign defaults there are, and theres more to come.I think the vast majority of public sector workers know EXACTLY how screwed up this country is both financially and morally given that its on the news 24/7 and the fact that the majority (if not all) public departments have had memos/releases detailing cost cutting and efficiency reviews as well as redundancies.
Just because you dont get to read about it on your daily newspaper trawl of the net doesnt mean its not happening.... Effectively, and not unusually, your arguments and "facts" (and I use this term loosely) are wholly incomplete and flawed....
I look forward to a reasoned retort which is more than a politician's 2 line "sound-bite"
I pay taxes, have a mortgage, a family, have worked since I was 16 full time, for the first 7 years in a private firm. So yeah I think I know how screwed up the country is and here's the shocker - it wasn't the public sector that caused it.
No you dont the bond markets are knife edge of a worldwide collapse.
And you know this because ??
What is it you do for a living again ??
I doubt you're at an equivalent level to have any say in sacking me, but seriously, give up the epeen.I can see this going in circles with youI'd have sacked you before you walked in my office

Congratulations, you've changed the wording of what I posted to suit your own assertion. "Quite a few" and "a lot" are very different. So a lot are freeloaders, and then they work very hard?

What you're missing is whatever lowly level of middle management your are at work - here you're going to have to form a legible and constructive argument without talking internal jargon.

Sounds like I hit a sore spot though. Union rep by any chance?
To be fair you could post that elephants fly and it would be a more accurate statement than half of the stuff he postsWhich was caused by the US government demanding that banks underwrite daft mortgages to people who could never afford them. That's only my understanding of the basics, doubt it's even vaguely accurate but it's more accurate than a sweeping generalisation that public sector workers don't have a clue how hard up private sector workers are!
We're faced with providing the same level of healthcare for less each year, other than ditching staff (and the garbage ones will be the last to go) that's not easy to do.

No I really thought you would know what I'm going on about as that is how my department deals with performance figures (pacesetter/lean), does it really matter that you didn't know or understand? No, and it wasn't jargon to sound clever. I don't need to do that you see.
No what you said was this:
"There are quite a few free loaders dotted around the public sector - from my experience they are usually union reps - IE untouchable."
"Having previously worked producing staff performance figures I think I have a fair idea of who works hardest and who doesn't. But I'd rather not go into any detail thanks.
I can only speak from my experience though. As I said, the vast majority work very hard. "
So a lot are freeloaders, and then they work very hard?
Did you pay a lot of attention to your work Bug?
Ha - what a load of crap. Clearly you've never worked in an important position in the public sector.
There are quite a few free loaders dotted around the public sector - from my experience they are usually union reps - IE untouchable. However the vast majority of public sectors have ridiculously high workloads and are under intense pressure - without any kind of reward.
Having previously worked producing staff performance figures I think I have a fair idea of who works hardest and who doesn't. But I'd rather not go into any detail thanks.
I can only speak from my experience though. As I said, the vast majority work very hard.
