I tried the 'I cut my own hair' thread recently or whatever it was called but didn't get any answer.
Basically i'm thinking of getting my own clippers and cutting my hair myself to save money and convenience in the long run. I have a v cut with grade 1.5 on the sides. Usually my barber cuts the top and back with scissors but using the clippers should give the same result?

So looking for good hair clippers that can do 1.5 (or just 2 if 1.5 isn't usually an option), and maybe a trimmer? (for the sideburns?).
Not looking to spend a huge amount but want a decent one that will last me and is easy to use for a first time experience.

Thanks.

As above - the rotating head makes it much much more usable.

Just remember than the settings don't correspond with grade 1,2,3, etc.

They're more like half sizes.

That's what i thought initially but some people have said they don't actually cut as short as they are stated. Do they cut to about grade 1.5 ok?
And is the trimmer good?

I was in asda earlier on today and they had mens baybliss hair clippers on offer can't remember how much though but might be worth a look.

EDIT: £10

Philips QC5055 Professional Power Clippers.

I've tried plenty, and I've come to the conclusion that these ones are the only ones worth getting. They're excellent.
