Its one of the best TV series of all time. Along with castle
of topic but I was looking at the cast list for the latest Castle episode....it has a certain Riley Finn from Buffy in it!

Had better be good. Have asked for this from Mum for Xmas. Will get it asap after Xmas if I don't get it on 25th of December.
Does the boxset have any commentaries or anything? I got the Serenity Blu-ray and its packed full of special features, even has video in video where you can watch the film and a small box appears in the corner with the different cast members talking. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoyed the film as well.
I only own 3 blu-rays and all of them star Summer Glau, I'm not obsessed...honest.

Yep it's got a couple by cast and crew iirc, and some good documentary thing. And Joss singing the theme. And Alan Tudyks audition
If I ever get a blu ray player, first thing I get will be Serenity.

The first blu-ray I bought was Firefly.
Still haven't got Serenity though. But Firefly/Serenity are generally good for the extras - they give you quite a lot. Most of the episodes have commentary too. Also, anyone who hasn't seen it should check out Done the Impossible too:

They're packed with awesome stuff. Diagrams and whatnot, good read.
Worthy of a watch just for the prossie and the weird terminator chick alone

Just watched Firefly last week for the first time. I didn't realise it was filmed/released 2002/2003 time. Honestly thought (from watching it) it was much newer than that.
Shame there will be no more. Fox is utterly retarded. Surely the suits must have watched it and then realised that they had made a mistake by canceling it and re-instated the show. And for no other Studio to pick it up... it just staggers belief.
Oh and if you want to have a successful series do not employ Summer Galu, hot as she is, she is clearly a kiss of death to any si-fi project.

They played on that while filming Firefly and Serenity. Whenever someone messed up or something inexplicably broke or went wrong, someone would shout "SUMMER!" and blame her for it.
