If you could remake a game...

Tbh most of those classic games dont need remaking. What Id have liked to see was a discussion on games that couldve been great that failed and should be remade.

I disagree. I'd like to replay those games with better graphics and have it be compatible with my OS. I've recently gone back to some old gems attempting to capture those fond memories. So far it has been utter dissapointment. I guess I've been spoiled by graphical progress.
It has opened my eyes to two things though..

1). How much graphics have progressed
2). How much games now focus on graphics rather than atmosphere and gameplay.

Damocles on the Amiga (Mercenary 2). Would be a bit like GTA in space with an open solar system you can fly to different planets in a space craft then explore the citys via taxis and cars etc. Greeeeat :) Hopefully Elite 4 will fit the bill, but it's a big ask. How come we had all these great ideas 15-20 years ago but not the hardware to handle it? :P

System Shock - the original one. With the facility to re-map the keys so that you don't need 8 fingers on each hand to play it

Magic Carpet.
But Would anyone mind if we kept the fog for some levels? Actually the sky would probably end up black with smoke anyway if take into account the kind of damage we could do to the landscape with todays graphical hardware, sort of Black & white 2's volcanos & earthquakes x10 :)
I'd also want it remade by the original Bullfrog team.

Planetside was a fantastic MMOFPS but unfortunately Sony dropped the ball and just let it die out by not developing the game the way it should have been and by not advertising it enough. It was great fun and should be remade (but not by Sony)

Another vote for Damocles, used to love that game on the Atari ST :)

I would also like to see a remake of Counterstrike using updated graphics like MW2.

Soviet/Nuclear strike.

The FMV and the games are the db's, the 3d graphics are sadly software driven though, the pc version of the later looks as rank as the ps game (owning both)

Don't look too good these days to play, sharp crisp high definition would do wonders.

Syndicate wars suffers the same, a close 2nd call... strike first though:)
