Left For Dead 2 .... This Must Be said .....

Its exactly what i wanted in a sequel. New weapons and maps. For £20 its worth it. I played L4D1 for around 150 hours and that cost me £13 when steam had it on offer. I can see me playing this for at least the same amount of time if not more.
My only criticism would be the new characters, the old characters were much better IMO. I wish they would bring out an update that would allow you to play as the first 4 as well.

It is the same, infact I had to check I hadnt loaded the 1st one up, a few new touches nothing to get excited about and the graphics engine is looking very dated these days, sorry not impressed at all.
The latest edition of Computer Active reviews Left For Dead 2 and concludes ....." ..The biggest critism is that the tweaks and extra content feel more like an expansion pack than a full blown sequel. It's very much more of the same, but anyone who liked the original will love Left For Dead 2."

L4D1 was £20, this game was between £20-£27 at launch. I would say they were both "expansion pack prices"
What do you guys want? CoD is a yearly churn out of the same game over and over again.... as is FIFA, PES, Football Manager, Championship Manager and I'm sure The sims have a new game out every year. What about subscriptions for MMO's, are they a rip-off too?

Did we really need to revive this kind of thread just because of what a PC magazine thought of a game.
Fair enough people dont like the game other people love the game.
People do have opinions and we dont need threads like this around just causing arguments.

Because i dont want to see a trend of everyone posting a new thread when they dislike a new game that other people enjoy.
Sorry if i came across a bit sharp in my post a few moments ago i didnt intend to.
I just dont feel its worth dragging up a thread just so everyone can have the same argument again.

Better here than in the official L4D2 thread IMO.
Have to say though, the more i play the new game the more i like it. Ive been playing mainly survival mode and its a lot more fun than the first game with the new weapons etc. The daylight maps are growing on me as well, the bridge map is the most fun Ive had playing L4D yet. I'll easilly play the game for 150 hours or more and to me thats great value for money.
I do hope they bring out some extra survival maps and maybe another campaign, like they did with L4D1. It gets a little boring once you have all the gold medals.

People should be allowed to express there opinions on a forum, thats what they are there for. Everyone knew this game wasnt going to change dramatically at all. Its been tweaked and improved, but the foundation is the same. I do think it was pushed out the door a little to early, but hey if people are going to buy it why stop them. Just look at COD, nothing changed from MW1, reskin remap and out the door. Its starting to look bleak

I love Left 4 Dead 2 however I must say the FOV seriously needs changing or at least an option to adjust it. The way they have made it look seems to be more suited for console users rather than pc users.
have you got a widescreen monitor?
From what I've seen it's a bit narrow but perfectly fine on 16:10/16:9, but on old non widescreen monitors it looks awful.

Yeah I've got a widescreen 16:10 screen. I just don't like the position of the guns onscreen and I feel like it's much more closed in and limited visually compared to L4D1.
