Remember the voodoo cards from 3dfx in the late 1990s,well i had two of those in sli,so im kinda continuing an old tradition,also i read a lot so i know what problems some people have with ATI cards so i DONT NEED to buy/try one out

the bottom line is....

you get what you pay for....this is the way its always been with anything that you buy...also there is no dx10 based gpu ATI setup to beat my system so to me ATI on DX10 are inferior to me

You just gotta love this place when someones preference is open to an irrational attack such as this! Each to their own I say for there are far more important things in life to worry about that do actually make a difference ...

The fact is that we all make decisions along this line .... sticking with Nvidia makes life that little bit easier wouldn't you say as that is one less thing to worry about? It's not the fact that one has a mere preference for a company. It's when they blindly have a preference and slate another they have no experience with.

With the petty arguing aside for a moment, I was led to believe by nVidia that Fermi is a highly scalable architecture, i'v seen anything but.

All the so called review sites have also said nothing about what comes after the GTX 380 and 360.

Nothing they have shown has an inkling of what ATi has demosntrated as a scalable architecutre.

Good review sites will limit reporting rumours and speculation...and nvidia has always really had a monolithic approach in comparison with ati.

i dont need to own one to know what they are like,all i have to do is read lots of posts from other other people to know what good/bad experience they are getting from ATI cards....like i said in my last post...there is no ati dx10 setup to beat my pc so to me nvidia is the best option FOR ME,doesnt mean its the best for you....

Anyhow i hope in a way that when the gtx 380 is released that the latest ATI cards are better because this will speed up the release of the gtx 395

If that was imed at me then for the record I 'll take whatever I think is best at the time ... I am a fan of my money and where that goes! My GTX will shortly get booted for a 5970 ... when it gets here!

Lol just lol at thevet really you cannot go on other people's opinions alone as hard as it is to believe some sneaky companys actually employ people to **** off other companys prodcuts and a fair bit of that goes on i would wager with gfx cards. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a preference for a particular company but as others have said having one without ever trying another company is blind loyalty and thats the worse thing any consumer can do.

As for the bit about his wealth so what plenty of wealthy people about i know i have a brother who is, but funny thing is he got that way by being extremely sensible with his money and he has an ati setup go figure. As for the whole drivers thing jeez can we just for one second accept the reality that ati and nvidia have their share of problems in that area and the difference between them is not as big as some on here would like people to believe. For myself i had nothing but trouble with nvidia drivers when i had both their cards and mobo's but since moving to intel\ati i havn't had a single driver related problem but everyone has different experiences doesn't mean it can be generalised.

Driver's are a lousy way to choose hardware imo and i would much prefer to do it on the basis of what i need and what i can afford (though with gfx cards that doesn't apply as brother now buys them for me).

at the end of the day im happy with nvidia and im happy parting with my money,i have been happy with nvidia for many many years...so if it aint broke im not gonna fix it..simple solution for me..if nvidia mess up then i may change but atm im happy with them and i cannot see it changing
