rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

It's simple...buy the Rage Against The Machine track now and stop trying to make up reasons as to why Jo Mcgaylord deserves a place in the charts.

:D

Won't work though 10 million housewives buying this **** for their 'daughter'.

Then cowell can release a nice cover album and start work on the next X factor and the audience can move onto the next reality show and forget about this Jo Mcgaylord.

i believe this is on 4chan so if it dont get number1 hopefully it get close. it will be good to hear "MOTHER -BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP-" on the radio :)

CBA to read whole thread now but doesnt SONY get the ££££s whether you buy the xfactor single OR RATM regardless?

So theirs is the last laugh and all you people thinking you're doing something to "fight the power" are actually errr, not? :p

Regardless of whoever own the rights to it and where my money goes, I bought it (twice :D) because I ******* hate the xfactor !

lol, 4Chan, they get some stuff done when they make a team effort.

I wouldn't be surprised if Killing in the Name of was 1 to 10 in the charts, and "Joe" woke up in Thailand to find out that he was now a Thai ladyboy.

The idea isn't to deprive Sony of some money. The idea is to get a song other than the X-Factor single to number 1 for Christmas.

But you'd rather do what someone else tells you and buy a RATM single you had absolutely no intention of buying in the first place.

Sounds like the guy who thought this up has brainwashed a few people, more so than Mr. Cowell.

"**** you, I won't do what you tell me!" - oh actually, yes I will, here's 79p, shall I bend over now? kthxbye.

No one ever got anywhere by sitting in a hole taking in no external influences.

Sometimes it's not about sticking it to all types of leadership, but rather just following a better leader. The point of this campaign is to send a message.

The message is that we don't approve of xfactor's blatant and pre-meditated domination of the christmas charts, and that we, the public are in charge of the fate of said charts and not Simon Cowell and his latest reality show.

You could call the first time this happened clever marketing by xfactor, but to do it every year without fail is just rubbing it in the faces of music stars who have actually made it on their own.

I'm not buying the single, but I don't think people are fighting anything, just maybe a little tired of seeing an x-factor 'talent' butcher another song, in this case it's only Miley Cyrus, but it was disheartening hearing what happened to Cohen's song last year, really hard to take considering how wildly popular it was.

A point well made !

However, record companies have been doing this for years before Cowell came along. You just have to look at some of the endless drivel that has been number 1 at Christmas in the past.

It doesn't stop there either, the amount of "artists" that churn out dire albums, and release their greatest hits offering on cue for Christmas after 3 years of being, is just stupid. Granted that's usually the record label, but the same thing still applies. Cowell is just doing this to the extreme.

Maybe you're right, I just don't see the point really ! :(

At least there used to be some interest and competition between the various xmas no.1 contenders, half the fun was seeing if a good song or a cheesy one made it to that spot, it's extremely tiresome seeing one program tie up the xmas no.1 year after year, and usually with trite pap.

Apparently RATM have said they will donate all money they make towards Shelter.

£21,846.61 on the site at the moment.

We're ****ing off Simon Cowel, the great unwashed, the X-Factor, AND giving to charity at the same time?!?

I think it's gonna need a second purchase! :D
