I have nothing against ginger haired people and have a good few friends that are ginger, and they have never taken offence at the 'smelling of wee' or any other ginger joke that has been made around them in all the years I've known them.

Thats just the thing, they are YOUR friends so you have a back and forth exchange, Im willing to bet they call you names to, but when people start making statements (however stupid) directed at people they dont know is the point where upon it becomes offensive

To be honest, I wasn't offended by it for that reason, but that didn't stop me forming opinions of you based on it. Obviously, you probably less than care, but just saying.

Saying you meant no offence by it is appreciated, though (unless you were being sarcastic then!) - it's difficult to tell on the intertubes.

You offend and insult others so why should anyone care when people respond in kind to you?

You'll undoubtedly be able to find evidence of me insulting other people, and being unashamedly offensive, but 1) I don't want your sympathy and 2) that's not who I am now. I'll still make a potentially offensive wisecrack, but if it actually offended someone in my company, I would profusely apologise and not make similar remarks in future.

I've said that last bit before in this thread, so I'm assuming you're just looking for ways to be able to justify saying whatever the hell you want to me/people so carry on. Now that I know what sort of person you are (or are trying to be) I won't take offence, I'll just pity you.

And no I need no justification, I know it may be perceived as wrong but it's the internet aside from certain things (the Bethany thread for example) nothing should really be taken seriously., because there really is nothing to gain from it.

I don't pity you, nor will I claim to know what sort of person you are.

I would never think so highly of myself to appoint my self judge of anyone's character based on posts on the internet.

Weird thing to say - who are you to pick what should and shouldn't be laughed at? What are you basing that on? Just because /you/ deem a subject as off-limits, doesn't necessarily mean it is. Why can't other people deem topics off-limits?

Are you serious? I'm not trying to justify or excuse the way I've behaved in the past, I'm simply saying that (whilst you'd be totally justified) it would make more sense to me now if you didn't judge me based on that. I'm not talking about me 2 years ago, I'm talking about me now. If you drag up things I said ages ago, that doesn't make sense to me now.

If you're naive enough to think that you don't judge someone's character based on the content of their posts on here, or anywhere, then I envy you! Remember before, today, when you said you'd buy be a Barbie Christmas card (I'm inferring that that's calling me a girl)? That's making a judgement on my character based on something I said on a forum. Remember when you called me a hypocrite? That's making a judgement on my character based on the difference between my posts 2 years ago and my posts today. I would imagine the card was meant for people with ginger friends that have a sense of humour around their condition?
