rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

Seriously?

Can't be that into music then, can he? I can't think of anyone over the age of 15 who hasn't heard it.

Or maybe he doesn't listen to that type of music.

There are loads of genres that I don't like, and thus am not aware of any seminal classics within them.

Some friends were discussing Blur, and were shocked that the only song of their's I know is Song 2.

Hmmm... Well possible. I mean its like lovers of punk or rock rap know Tom Morello did work for "No Man Army" by The Prodigy some years ago... But I reckon most who’ve posted in this thread won’t know this..

And anyhow not everyone knows Rage Against the Machine even exist. They did disband for 6 odd years, although the recent trend on GH games certainly has brought this genre of music well back into the fold. I’m sure some of Rage’s tracks are covered in these types of games… correct me if I’m wrong as I don’t play them…

Shame he's a manufactured popstar, he will always get abused simply due to so many hating the format he's come from...

But what I'd have done its used 'google' to find out who Rage were and then said, 'oh yeah, heard of them. Wish them well'... Still, who knows if he even said it at all..??

I decided to pop the RATM album CD back in on the drive home last night, god what an astonishing albumk that was, Bombtrack, Bullet in the Head, killing in the name of, Know your enemy, fabulous stuff :D

The effect the group has been impressive, with Killing In The Name high up in the UK charts again, 17 years after its first release. People all over the UK have started buying the single. Music stores have started ordering the single in time for Christmas. HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo commented: "We have placed our largest order in 10 years on this single, 500,000 will be available in stores around the country tomorrow."

Perhaps worth bearing in mind before criticising someone for not knowing the difference between a single and album in future then?

Grow up.

He asked why it didn't contribute.. and I pointed out that buying an album generally doesn't affect the singles chart?
