How not to advertise your 330i

SHOCK AS £5k 330CI IS ABUSED SHED

There was widespread shock today as OcUK forums discovered a £5k BMW 330Ci Sport for sale on Pistonheads only for it to turn out to be a thrashed example with three blurry photographs taken outside a sports centre. People wept in the street as they learnt the shocking realisation that most BMW's are owned by idiots and that buying one is perhaps a bit like putting your hand into a snake pit.

Nobody was available for comment.

people can say i'm licking fox's rear all they want.

That really made me laugh. Your wit never fails to disappoint fox :D

And less people are likely to even going to see the car because of that pic. I'm not saying the car is definitely totally thrashed, just there's a decent chance because of that and because of the type of car it is.

Someone could go and see it and it might be fine, but it'd be against my better judgement. There are plenty more out there.

Indeed, like a better looking Facelift model, the only model for an E46 coupe purchase to be had - unless it's an M3 :)

Well he is a stereotypical LOLasianLOL, they're easy. Haggle with a fist full of crisp notes totalling £3k and it's likely to be all yours in an instant.

I had a guy with a fully loaded 330ci (55 plate) want to part ex towards my Boxster yesterday. He was looking to give me his car and £9k.

How much would a decent, 69k, FBMWSH one go for?

By fully loaded, what did it come with?:p And did he give a reason for wanting rid of it?

Options?

Probably worth around 11-12k from the sounds of it - maybe more.

I think anyone with an ounce of sense would take a prefacelift 330Ci Sport over a facelift 318Ci Sport, though.

New lights (Which can be retrofitted) are not worth putting up with that dire excuse for an engine under the bonnet.

Ow, harsh.

What if they can't insure it though? Does it cost less to run?

About £11k privately. It has a trade value of just over £10k. It will be a 330Ci M Sport at that age (Though there is no difference other than the name).

As of the past few months yes, but when I got my car the cheapest 318ci facelift was 10k and 330ci facelift closer to 15k so it's not like I paid over the odds.

Nothing to do with running costs or anything like that, else I'd be cheesed with the fact that I'm getting 26MPG on my daily commutes and that servicing is barely cheaper than a 330ci !

Thank you very much:)

His point was why didn't you buy a pre facelift 330Ci instead of your facelift 318, both cost the same money to buy, and looking at what Fox has said you could facelift the prefacelift anyways?

Because at the time no 330ci I looked at was in a condition that I would consider to be good (heck I even looked at a 2002 328ci for 7k which looked great but the cabin was crap condition) and at the time I wasn't bothered about BHP, more motorway comfort and daily commuting. Of course this has changed over the past 1.5years a small amount...

Not hard to understand surely.

You couldn't find a single pre facelift BMW 1.5 years ago with a good condition cabin?

Loads around now, they must have been in hiding 18 months ago.

Lets face facts, you simply wanted the facelift model so it looked new and you didn't care if it had the smallest engine going or not.
