I Must be Insane

And to the person who asked why I have to drive at 20mph, maybe because its thick snow and ice around here on the roads? I cant even get out of my drive at the moment!

 Its reading 9.5C at the moment on my external thermometer, i even went out to my car to check what that was reading and its showing the same. Really hope that cold spell doesnt make its way up to wallingford :(

Harden up! 1 Degree C, roof down drive to work this morning was brisk and refreshing! :D

If you bought the FRS, you would kill yourself when on a hot summers day with the sun out an S comes past you, roof down, wind in their hair! :p

My roof stays down all the time as long as its not raining :P Although I do use the hardtop for December/January.

I have about 1-2 mile drive on ungritted roads to do my daily drive before I can get onto A roads, and they are pretty hairy sometimes, especially at night, seems to be a fair bit of black ice last two days.

Doubt Ill get the RS, especially since I just checked out some 05 M3s for 16-17k on autotrader to realise 25k for a ford isn't really worth it, no matter how shiney and new it felt on the test drive :P

With the RS you're paying a fair bit (ok a LOT) for rarity and scene tax - brilliant cars but you have to really want one and be an enthusiast to buy one

the RS is nice but its not worth the stupid price they want for it (and I own a focus ST) there is no way I would pay that, but they look hot in green and I want one!

I've heard the spoiler and rear diffusers on them are too flimsy and pretty pointless. Also the Ultimate Green is a git to match so if it ever needs a respray don't expect a perfect job. (So the guys in two of my ford dealership customers tell me anyway)

I can see the attraction but would say stick to what you've got.

Interesting.

I don't think your insane, just ill informed. 25k is m3 csl, 911 c2s, nsx, supercharged exigencies or focus rs money...... Now reconsider the focus rs.

I feel your pain in having to drive slow, but remember that on those 5-10 days a year it's scorching hot and you remember to get up early the hills are alive to the sounds of vtec.

This.

I'd love a Focus RS, but they are very expensive for what they are. You can get some very good cars for less.

Having said that

m3 csl, 911 c2s, nsx, supercharged exigencies

If I had £25K i'd probably still rather have the RS over all of those. :o

*flame retardant suit*

Focus RS are chavvy. Can't remember where I read it but this quote sums it up pretty well;

"Driving a Focus RS makes you look like you want to be Jordan's boyfriend."

:p
