To begin with, please don't make multiple accounts with this, there's no reason why all 850,000 can't create one account and the charts company cant hassle us about bulk buying!

If you don't have a Credit Card and want to support Rage for free, there's still a way and I have confirmed with the Charts Company that its eligible!*

1) Go to http://www.nokiamusic.co.uk/ Download and install the player on the main page insuring you select UK when it gives you the setup options!

2) Open the program and click [STORE] /"Join Now", Click "Join Nokia Music", fill out the details to create the account (No credit card details are needed)

4) Go to the main Store page and to the left you will see a box that says "Redeem Pin" Click on "Continue"

5) Enter ONE random of these codes, doesn't matter which one! Each one will give you £4 free credit and that's all you need to buy all 5 versions of the song, you can get up to £16 worth if you use all the codes, but please don't as Nokia may pull it if its abused!

Done and Done

lol, the DJ at our works xmas doo at the celtic manor resort made a joke about this tonight, there were loads of cheers for the rage :):):) Must have been about 300 people there from different companies, some liked the xfactor boy tho

I gigged in front of around 300 'rock fans' last night and shouted out 'who's bought the Rage Against The Machine single to knock Joe McGayboy off the top slot' and not one person had heard about it.
There was even a bloke with a RATM t-shirt on who hadn't heard about it.
Out of my own band the bass player said 'I've heard a bit about it'.

We don't get news in Stoke.

The Bottom line Cowell benefits if either get to number one.

Both under the Sony corp machine monster.

Another thing...Them swearing did show a lack of intelligence.

They have that platform to boost sales and boost the campaign...But then decide to swear.

A silly move RATM you dingbats.:p

The fact that the competition is an awful awful cover of a MILEY CYRUS song (that only came out this year!) vs. a complete rock classic is which is sad.
I really hope it does beat the X-factor garbage.
I also doubt Simon really cares, after all, the amount of interest this is generating for him & X-factor world wide must be quite something!

Why does everyone think that just because they are on the same label that somehow buying the RATM song will fill Cowell's pockets? Hes not associated in any way with them, zero money goes to him. And the amount of times times the radio 5 video has been viewed on youtube, suggests it has significantly boosted the campain. Only people who were against it to begin with seem to be complaining.

jarrow and hebburngazette never heard of that source but look at the crap they say

SOUTH Tyneside store bosses are urging Joe McElderry fans to make sure he hits the top spot tomorrow.

"The RATM campaign is just foolish, trying to stop the lad getting to No1. They don't want another X Factor song as the Christmas No1 but it comes down to which one is better – and that's Joe.

"We don't want to be listening to RATM on Christmas Day and I'm sure people will realise that. Joe's got enough support in South Shields to get there.

"He deserves to be No1. He was a lovely, down-to-earth, genuine guy when we met him on Wednesday and I wish him luck."

shall we give the number 1 to the dalai lama because hes such a nice bloke?

He is a sony shareholder...;)

"Killing in the name" is a Sony BMG track. For those that don't know, Sony BMG also own the rights to Simon Cowell's artists and own his record label, Mr Cowell is most likely a shareholder in Sony BMG. What this means is, if everyone does go out and buy Killing in the name, (and it seems some people already are, despite the xmas no.1 only being based on sales from week commencing 13th Dec) all this achieves is to boost revenue for Sony BMG, the very people behind the X-Factor records we all hate so much. Because of this they are in effect, now gaining two sets of income thanks to X-Factor. Not only are those who LIKE the show buying their records, but also people who HATE the show!
