Genres of music or film you tend to avoid?

I watch everything and listen to any genre.

+1, I used to only like Metal as a kid but I've really opened my ears and eye's to things I would never usually watch.

I used to be skeptical of international films but some of my all time fave films are now subtitled.

The only thing I tend not to listen to is Country, though their is some I like.

Yeah I used to avoid anything with subtitles but now I don't mind them at all and some of my fav films are subtitled. Also I usually much prefer the original foreign film with subs to the US remakes.

Also not a country fan either, but i do like some songs by Johnny Cash :D.

Music

Country
R'n'B
Jazz
House in all shapes and forms but especially funky

Films

Ninth rate Guy Ritchie gangster films
Action Films (the Arnie/ Van Damme style)

anything rap or that crap known as trance

Not an individual criticism. But the vast majority of people that say they dislike trance have never even heard a real trance tune. When you ask them why they hate it, it's because it's all that Flip'n'Fill and Bass Generator rubbish innit.

I don't avoid any music based on genre but I tend to be more snobbish when it comes to films. Still, I don't think there's any genre of film that I wouldn't watch.

It puzzles me how some people list both Jazz and Trance/Dance/House (4/4 club music) as two types of music they avoid - yet, they're polar opposites of the musical spectrum.

I dislike trancey club music, but all the reasons I dislike club music and the VERY reasons I love Jazz music.

Jazz is an incredibly broad spectrum as well - it's not all 1930s rinky-tink swing.

Films - Anything slushy
Music - Jazz, C&W, Rap and Pink Floyd... I hate them!!!!

Plus posey female vocalists suach as Madonna, Beyonce, Mariah Carey!

film: horror

music: rap, RnB, hip hop, DnB, grime, ..... erm .... basically anything you are likely to get nowadays in a club

I prefer my music to have a tune you can hum along with.

For movies I just avoid cheesey American comedy, the cheap laugh stuff, music-wise, well anything country should be avoided by everyone imo. :D

Romantic comedies. I get so bored at the sugar and honey dripping from the screen that poking my own testicles with a needle sounds more attractive.

I'm surprised by how many people avoid the horror genre.

Is it because you're scared ****less? or that most horror these days is complete crap? I think i can probably guess :p.

I dont avoid it though as you still get the odd gem every now and again.

I think you know which is the appropriate answer ;D

I used to hate Horror films, when I went to see The Ring, I must've been the only one laughing in the cinema, I think the Genre has become stale and predictable.

I think the last time I jumped was in lord of the rings :D

their are very few films I'd actually call Horror.
