rage against the x-factor - Outcome: RATM is the Christmas Number One!

It's a shame not everyone in the Facebook group bought the track.. Why would you be part of the group without getting involved? Do they think people will think they're cooler because you're 'in'?

"Yeah I was part of the movement that overthrew the Xfactor number one"
"Oh you bought the track too?"
"Nah, Joined the facebook group though.."
"Cheapskate."

my 2cents...

love Guerrilla Radio...love nizlopi. (2nd album out yet?, herd a preview along time ago which sounded great).

Why RATM won't win: they have no physical release, X Factor dude does. We shifted so much today and we're just a small HMV in a huge shopping centre. RATM won't win. The numbers don't add up.

So far this year physical sales have accounted for less than 1.4% of the total, I really hope this is still the case for Xfactor :)

I know this, but it's still 1.4% more than a download so, y'know, if it does come down to the line...

Someone on Facebook suggested NWA's "**** The Police" for next year. Seems like a solid choice imo.

X-Factor is traditionally disproportionate on the CD sales side meaning that Joe's single has sold around 200-300,000 copies on CD at least.

Nah, no climax in the song. You need a part like "**** you I won't do what you tell me!!" to really get everyone fired up!

I truely hope if it fails this time, a renewed sense of purpose can be found next year. Would be such a shame for everyone to do as much as they have this year and give up.

What unofficial chart? iTunes contributes to the singles chart in the UK. All download outlets do...

Ofcourse I know that, I was just saying the fact that itunes and only itunes carrys on contributing after midnight is highly dubious.

Someone linked an unofficial chart earlier that was compiled solely from itunes, that's what I was referring to.

True, but that title would grab a lot of attention by itself.

I reckon more people will latch onto this next year so you'll have a variety of songs hitting the charts. If this fails this time though, I doubt we'll win in the future unless another Leon Jackson wins the X-Factor, selling a low 275,000 copies.
