asos.com can be good. But to be honest for non designer stuff which looks quite nice, you can't go wrong with next/selfridges/river island/zara which will all be about in your local city.

Yes.. because asking for brand and site suggestions is just like me asking everyone exactly what type of shirt i should buy, or whether or not i should go for the loose or regular fit type of jeans. :rolleyes:

). It seems to be a relatively recent idea from a younger generation that jeans are smart. The last two places I worked at had smart casual as the dress code and jeans were a definite no no.

I don't believe there is any internationally recognised specification for what "smart casual" is, so really it's up to whoever is in charge what constitutes "smart casual".
