Cleaning your car when its -4c

Washed my car the other day, was nice and sunny and not too cold. Decided to put a layer of Colinite 476 on there to last the winter. Applied it, went inside for lunch to let it harden and it decided to snow...as if it's not a hard enough wax to buff off, let alone when it's frozen to your paintwork. Managed to get most of it off but I left it on the wheels rather than buff it off as they were filthy in no time again.

I washed mine today, looks the business since it has not rained today and I don't have work over the xmas period either so will sit there looking nice through to the new year :)

So you wont drive your car again this year?! Why not? Surely you WANT to drive it?

I wash my car all the time but for the reasons Muncher says - so I can enjoy it looking good for a few days. You cant do that in this weather, so I see little point in giving it 3 hours of my time but will of course hose it down regularly to get rid of the salt.

I washed mine every weekend up until this one, I'm doing far too many back road journies at the moment so it's really not worth my time for the sake of a few hours looking good

Still hose it down and give it a quick once over just to get rid of the bulk of it, but don't spend much time on it

Mine is filthy and has loads of salty crap on it, is this likely to do any damage to the wheels or anything? The wheels are basically black at the moment.

Nice car Smokey, they are such a laugh to drive!

I washed mines once when It was stupidly cold. I used that Auto Glym spray shine stuff. It had frozen to the bonet. not a good plan
