For God's sake people, do get real. Deific probably brought the only smile in his/her incredibly boring day to that "innocent person just doing their job". At least he didn't swear or shout at them which is what happens most of the time.
Sign up to the telephone preference service then rather than trying to be funny and failing.
Sounds like a few people have no clue as to how a call centre works...
The agents have no controll over the calls, they do not dial the numbers themselves, it's all done via the servers/scripts/database, supplied to the call centres via the clients etc... so well done for harrasing an innocent person just doing their job

I have done the same and it hasn't worked for me. I had one guy ring my bell recently and when I opened the door, he said "I hope that doesn't apply to me? with a grin on his face. I gave him a smile, said "Hang on a tic, I'll just go and check the rules", closed the door and left him to his own devices....
I was getting annoyed by the people that knock on your door though (I work from home) as I was getting at least one person a day. A couple of months ago I put a sign on the door saying "No Cold Callers" and I havent had one person bother me since.
